Camellia Cafe is a great little cafe with a fun atmosphere Great service and amazing food.

I have a lot of unique features such as a table in the corner with a sign over at the test worst seat in the restaurant with a percentage off of your entries if you sit there.

They also have an oyster bar, a Thursday special in the evenings: $10 for a burger and a loaded potato, and a breakfast buffet 7- 11:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

We have been wanting to try it for a couple of years and finally got there this weekend. I had the crocafella omelette which is crab meat spinach and artichoke and it was amazing. The potatoes are cut and roasted, and delicious, but they also offer grits on the side.

The menu is very diverse and offers both classics and original local themed cuisine. Prices are super reasonable but not cheap because the food is really good.

While I didn’t see a gluten-free menu, I have celiac and I had no issues with my order …obviously I didn’t order a bread on the side.

We will absolutely be back to try lunch, kind of sorry we waited so long to try it!

It’s amazing how you can drive by a place for years and never realize the hidden gem waiting for you inside. That’s exactly how we felt walking into this restaurant for the first time. From the moment we stepped through the door, it didn’t just feel like another brunch spot, it felt like home.

The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and every bite of food reminded us that we’d found something special. The seafood omelet? Absolutely incredible, hands down my new favorite dish.

Now, Sunday mornings have a whole new meaning for us. What used to be just another drive-by has become our new tradition, a place where great food meets heartfelt comfort.

This restaurant has the best brunch in Slidell. The menue has a wide variety of items. I have tried many of them. I especially like the Cajun Breakfast and the Banana Nut Pancakes.
I ordered the seafood gumbo recently for a party. It was a hit!

Best combination of food, service, and atmosphere I’ve ever encountered. The food is carefully made AND superb, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere includes original art on AND in the walls. Also, they have real butter, sea salt, and a pepper grinder ON THE TABLE.

Carolyn was our efficient & friendly server, and I had to try the famous Friday Fried Chicken that everyone keeps telling me about! The special comes with mac & cheese, but I opted for an extra portion of the vegetables, which were green beans. At first bite, they melted in my mouth, with a slightly spicy kick, but layers of flavor That. Someone with soul made these.
But the chicken was the real star of the show, crispy and golden fried on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I literally haven’t had chicken this good since my childhood. Better than any famous chain, you might go to in Louisiana. This is old-school New Orleans cooking. Like something, your grandmother would make for you when you had a bad day.
Highly recommend! Thank Chef Sean!!

Its like my own,the old fashioned recipe not just a milk/egg wash fried in butter! Delicious! There was 6 of us we all ordered something different and it was all very tasty! Service was great as well! We will be back&recommend you stop in and check it out for yourself! Good Stuff!

BOY!! Are we happy with our lunch. We were a group of six passing through and decided to try a local place a little off the interstate. We had fried fish, muffaletta, fried chicken special and red beans and rice with porkchop it was all delicious, then we topped it off with some of the best bread pudding this side of heaven.
