I’m so excited they FINALLY have another location. I have loved this sandwich shop for years, though it has always been in the University Center, but now I can enjoy their delicious sandwiches year-round! If you’re looking for a lunch spot… you need to go here!

When I heard they were opening downtown I had to go opening week! Let me tell you, Calypso Sandwich Shop in downtown Missoula was an absolute delight! Their menu is packed with creative options, that can be served hot or cold (which I love)! I had the Bia and the combination of savory flavors was spot-on—the pesto mayo brought a vibrant, herby kick that paired perfectly with the turkey and crispy bacon (cue drool while writing this!). Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and the bread was toasted just right, holding everything together without overpowering the ingredients. They also offer a nice selection of chips and drinks to go with it!

I love the kid friendly options too, like the Aristeaus, which is essentially a fancy grilled cheese (this is also how I marketed it to my picky eater who loved it!), and organic juice options.

The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and the vibrant colors of the shop will truly draw you in. The staff were friendly, adding to the warm experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Calypso is a must-try for sandwich lovers. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their menu!

Highly recommend!

This place has changed for the worse. The food and service from Missoula employees is still good. it feels like the portions have shrunk while the prices either increased or stayed the same, and like employees are often stretched thin.

They make one of the best black and whites I’ve had in a while! They also make a “really yummy” huckleberry Italian cream soda per my grandson! Thank you for always being so kind when we visit!

Stopped by for a “Bia” with jalapenos and it was just great. Damn good sandwich. Convenient that it’s right below ROAM, however you pay a lil more than a regular sandwich place, about comparable to Wordens downtown.

Very good sandwich. Lots of veggie choices. What made it for me was quality parts not assembled so tall you can’t easily take a bite.

Amazing coffee? Check. Amazing food? Check! But you know what’s the best about this shop? The people. Absolutely the best service I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an overall wonderful experience, this is the place. Spread the word!

Stopped for a sandwich while driving through on I90. We got an Apollo, toasted. Really good sandwich! We don’t live in the area, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back there if we did.

Bought a sandwich today and… wow. Pro tip: if you’re running a sandwich shop—especially a new one—you might want to start with fresh bread. Crazy concept, I know. Doesn’t matter how premium your fillings are if the foundation tastes like it’s been sitting out since yesterday. Nothing says “we cut corners” like stale bread wrapped around good ingredients. Congrats on saving a few cents, though—you saved money and lost a customer in one go. I’ll stick to Tagliare, where sandwiches are actually treated with respect.
