The restaurant offers a very positive overall experience, combining the comfort and generosity of classic American cuisine with subtle, authentic influences from Serbian and Balkan cooking—a combination you rarely find executed this well.
One of the highlights is how naturally the Balkan elements are woven into the menu. The “Balkan Breeze Salad”, essentially a beautifully prepared Šopska salata, is fresh, light, and perfectly balanced—simple ingredients, but full of flavor and authenticity. Even more impressive is the “Sarma – Serbian Classic”, traditional stuffed cabbage rolls made with sauerkraut. This dish tastes genuinely homemade and brings real Balkan soul to the table, without feeling out of place in a modern Orlando restaurant.
That said, the absolute must-order dish is the “Gourmansky” Burger. Calypso Bar & Grill in Orlando was outstanding! The filet was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The service was top-notch from start to finish, and the drinks were phenomenal. I had the filet with a margarita, and both were spot on. The outdoor seating made the evening even better with its relaxing view of the water. Highly recommend for a great meal and atmosphere!

An incredible experience at Calypso Bar & Grill! The food completely blew us away – the scallops were fresh and perfectly prepared, but the real surprise was the sarma (stuffed cabbage rolls), which had that authentic, homemade taste you rarely find.
However, what truly made our visit special was our host, Matija. His kindness and attention to detail are beyond praise. It’s rare to meet someone who puts so much heart into their work and makes every guest feel like the most important person in the room. The entire staff is great, but Matija definitely made the biggest impression. Highly recommended to everyone!

We had an incredible time at Calypso. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. The food is exceptional—high-quality and delicious. The prices are also reasonable. Matia and Tonny were incredibly friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything I tasted was cooked to perfection. They seemed to he short staffed, but LC did as good as someone could possibly as possible. He accommodated our seating needs, gave us a complimentary desert for my wifes birthday, and was a great host.
The shrimp alone was great, but the shrimp scampi was amazing. You can taste the high-quality olive oil they used. The chicken and shrimp fettuccine were both amazing as well. They tasted even better once we took them home.
The mashed potatoes were good but a little grainy for my taste. The burger was arguably better than the fettuccine, and the steak fries were a perfect accent to the burger.
We sat outside the restaurant with a beautiful view of a pond surrounded by trees with the option to dine outside if we chose to. The inside was equally inviting and I even saw a classy private dining area for special events I assume.
The takeaways were my food came out late, due to short staffing, but As I mentioned earlier LC compensated us for the wait. He did bring out Chicken Fettuccine instead of shrimp but again he compensated me by giving me the chicken fettuccine free and still giving me the shrimp fettuccine I ordered. The look on his face said everything and I could tell he was being genuine and doing his best, something I truly appreciate.
Next time I am in Orlando I will for sure he back, I may go back again before I leave.

100% recommend! My friend and I wanted a nice quiet meal and happened upon this. Do not hesitate, go! The pork shank and mashed potatoes were amazing, the drinks were on point and after dinner we sat outside around the fire pit. Great laughs. Excellent over the top service. When I come back to Orlando I WILL be coming back.

A hidden gem in a prime location! We stumbled on this place by accident but are planning to come back many times! Driving up to it, it we weren’t sure if it’s even open. But so glad we decided to give it a try! The service was superb! The manager himself spoiled us to a delicious wine in a beautiful new wine glasses. Then the food started coming – and all of it was delicious but the star of the show is the slow cooked pork shank presented as an ossobucco. It’s a fall off the bone, finger licking tasty! Definitely worth of a return visit to try other dishes and desserts that looked divine!
