I thought I know every restaurant in Pensacola, but somehow I missed this amazing place!! Wow, impressed. Food is delicious. Everything. We start with appetizers- mussels, Scotch-egg and beef rolls. Then we got Grouper, fish and chips, scammpi shrimp and tuna ahi. Everything is great and we reorder Scotch egg. We have an England friend with us and she said the Scotch egg is the high level. So we’ve enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our server guy Jordy is number one.

Beautiful grass patio with tables spaced far enough apart to enjoy conversation with your own table! The bay side view is lovely cloudy or sunny. The patio is fenced in with its own binocular viewer. The tables have benches or patio chairs. We chose the patio chairs but they do not have good back support bc they lean too far back. Some tables have umbrellas and some do not. Even though ours didn’t, it was an overcast day with a breeze and the sun popped out ¾ of the way through our meal for a warming hello.

There is a Monday- Friday lunch special. My sister chose it with a house salad, ranch dressing, and a turkey sandwich. I had to go rogue and not choose the special… so I ordered the snapper grilled fish sandwich with potato salad…mmmm great choice!

Everything was incredibly delicious!
The restaurant itself has a dark interior with dim lighting and dark decor. However its large. It can host a wedding party or business banquet. There is a bar with seating. For cooler weather there are tables by the window to still enjoy the view. There are plenty of seating options for everyone!

My sister said her salad was so good. She thinks the ranch dressing is made homemade as she kept stating how good and fresh it tasted. Neither of us had a single complaint. We both appreciated the kind waitress being attentive.

Seriously, we have nothing but positivity to say about the food and the view. Thank you for the opportunity to dine by the bay and enjoy the view your patio has to offer.

Tell your equilibrium it’s about to get cattywampus, it’s brunch time at Calvert’s. Lots of places say bottomless mimosas, here it is like an affront to their personhood if a glass gets empty. Like a Russian gymnast from the eighties full of roids and speed the waitstaff hurtles full blast and will let loose seven backflips and twelve cartwheels before your glass runs dry. In addition every member of the staff is personable with a great sense of humor that creates belonging and beckons one to stay without feeling rushed.

The view and outdoor atmosphere is euphoric and serene. One could almost just have drinks and sun for hours and hours. But that would deny the greatest pleasure within. The gravy is everything. A moreish delight so aggressively seasoned it is almost too much, so one has to devour repeatedly for further inspection and pleasure. The bangers are texturally an exploration of what a sausage can be, toothsome casing and delicate yet sumptuous interior. The mash is on the edge of being too thick, yet somehow playful and flirtatious. It’s a meal that is satisfying providing one mouthgasm after another.

We also had an appetizer of crab Rangoon dip with crispy fried wontons. A pure and utter dish of delight. Just seeing the wontons heading to the table arouses the palate. A perfect fry, a perfect crisp, paired with a rich decadent dip. This dip is so rich and refined it would think Thurston Howell the third a mere peasant.

This isn’t fine dining, it’s not hyper elevated fare, it’s just friggen awesome. Bring cash to avoid credit card fees, and prepare yourself for the cheesiest 80’s music playlist and then live your best life at Calvert’s.

P.S. I totally forgot, sit outside! And get some truffle fries with curry ketchup as munchies, it would be the best thing at a lot of restaurants.

Alex was an amazing bartender. I have been a bartender for 26 years so I recognize good service. I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the female bartender (maybe Abbey or Tiffany…..I know…..I’m an idiot and I really am awful with names. I”ll know your drink before I learn your name. ), but she was just as good!! I love great bartenders with charisma!!! The atmosphere of the bar was awesome. We happened to show up for “music bingo” unplanned and had the best time ever. Food was great as well. Can’t wait to be a regular when I move here!!!

Family friendly, unique decor and notable views. My friends said it gave them “backyard” vibes sitting outside. Walked in without reservation on a Saturday evening, waited about 30 min for a picnic table. Brought our pups! If you remember one thing from this review- bring a light jacket. Just bring it. Even if it says 85 degrees, the breeze from the bay will cool you right off (as well as your food). Which is one downside- eat quickly because your hot dish won’t last long if you sit outside off the porch. We all LOVED the fried pickles, ranch and just devoured the beer cheese pretzel. I would return just for those items again. The low point for the night was ordering our entrees at 6:54pm, came out at 7:56pm. 3 people. The kindness of our server Ian saved the 4th star here, as he kept our drinks filled and checked on us the perfect amount. He apologized for the length of time we waited and told us he had prompted his manager about it. He was just awesome. My partner said the fish and chips were phenomenal. I was a little more disappointed with my crab stuffed grouper.. it was so salty. It came with shrimp that was just okay. But the taste of salt was overwhelming and it certainly wasn’t a fresh aftertaste. But I am picky. Maybe you’ll love it! I had a nice time but with the wait for a table and the wait for the food- I am so glad I had a windbreaker in the car.

This is a very good place for a delicious meal! The atmosphere was very British but not like a real British pub as we were told. It was lively without being too loud that you couldn’t hold a conversation. The decor was fun and interesting. The food was exceptional and the server was very attentive and friendly. We would love to go back! The only negative and the reason we only gave it four stars was the parking. It was Friday night and very busy. We had to drive around for 10 minutes and wait for someone to leave. They really need overflow parking. Overall we had a good time! Thank you Calvert’s!

I was a guests at a small semi-formal wedding party in a private dining room. It was lovely, but not lavish. The staff was attentive, the food was very good and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed it. The few children in attendance went outside when bored to get some fresh air on a nice garden patio. It was a good refreshing break for them. The event went smoothly with about 25 guests. I’d recommend it for casual gatherings, drinks and dining.

Super cool spot with lots of unique features and decor that’s worth looking at. Great cocktails and the server, Kendra, was amazing! My grandma changed her food order at the last minute and she accommodated perfectly. Grandma got the jalepeno margarita and pot roast pasties and both were amazing, she said the drink was the best she’d had in her life (she subbed the tequila for gin since she’s allergic to tequila). I got the blueberry fields drink, it was strong but great. I got the Calvert house salad with tuna added, and Kendra brought out the Greek and house vinaigrettes for me to choose from. I went for the house and it was phenomenal. Would definitely come back! We had a great time. Sat outside and the outdoor area was beautiful with great view of the water. Wish we had some quarters to look through the binoculars, I’d bring quarters next time for sure.
