Tried CALOS Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. The food was delicious—we really loved the mac and cheese balls and the pasta. The flavored mango lemonade was refreshing and very tasty. Prices are moderate, and the ambience is pleasant—simple, not too fancy, but the food quality truly stood out. School teachers receive an additional 10% discount, which is a nice touch. Parking is limited. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and we’d love to visit again with family to try more dishes.

I have only been to this place three times in total thus far and each time I have I have been amazed by the quality of the food. The grilled chicken sandwich was fantastic and the next day I had ordered a parmesan sandwich that was also amazing. Recently I had ordered a 1/2 pound worth of chicken and two sides and it was phenomenal. [ The total weight of the chicken was 3 pounds which they sell in 1/4 as well. It is served as chicken legs and such].
The drinks vary but I find myself coming for their lemonade drinks which come in different flavors my favorite being Strawberry so far! But the Peach and Mango that I tried so far are also great! Then today I had the privilege of having their cheesecake and its was good! 8/10 for that. Although a bit pricey I have not been disappointed in the way the food tastes. Not yet. I highly recommend giving this location a try and to check out their Instagram. I will be coming back here, hungry for more.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the area. The quality of the food is outstanding and the owners love and passion translates into the dishes. I highly recommend. Fantastic place! The food is top notch, quality ingredients for a very reasonable price. The service is also great, nothing but love for this place. We’ve tried the whole chicken, calamari, fried Mac and cheese (my absolute favorite) and the smash burger and everything has been just mouth watering! Oh and I forgot to mention the cheesecake, so YUMMY!!

Omg this place is AMAZING! Definitely a new North Arlington favorite! The gentleman that makes everything are so friendly. They also accommodate you if you want to switch something for your dish. This is the second time I’ve been here and had the linguine garlic pasta ( they make it homemade too). The first time I only had it with shrimp. The second time I added grilled chicken and shrimp. I am obsessed!

I had the gluten free calamari and that was fantastic as well. The breading was seasoned well and it wasn’t rubbery. That a must to try as well!.

I’m mad I didn’t take pics of the food! First time at Calos but definitely not the last time! The food was amazing! We’re definitely coming back!
We had appetizers, entrees and dessert and ALL of it got eaten! The menu has lots of variety and everything we picked was great! We got the Mac and Cheese bites and it really opens up your appetite! Perfectly sized and the cheese sauce it comes with, we had to keep it so we could dip our fries with it! He got the Birria Short Rib Cheesesteak with Sweet Potato Fries and I got Scottish Salmon with rice and salad. Both were delicious! What do the kids say nowadays? Ate! Left no crumbs!!
Even if you’re not normally a fish person, get the salmon! How they seasoned it and crispy skin, you’ll eat it all! Even their rice was seasoned perfectly. Very well balanced! The strawberry cheesecake and the oreo cheesecake, get them both! Fresh cheesecake, perfectly creamy and soft. Even their signature homemade lemonades were done perfectly!
At first glance, the place is very unassuming, chill and laid back but the food quality can rival fine dining! The owner is inviting and extremely hospitable! Even gave us a sample of another dessert we were considering.
You can tell the owners know what they’re doing. Food made to order, delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their prices were very reasonable, but they spared no expense in how they prepared the quality food they served you! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

This place was great! My family of 6 came in a little late in the evening. We’re visiting the big city but stayed in New Jersey and needed something to eat close to our Airbnb. This was by far the best food of our entire trip. The owner was very gracious and accommodating. We had a busy toddler and she is really hard to impress with food. She had the pasta and meatballs and really enjoyed. I had the grill chicken and shrimp. Everything was so well seasoned and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return if I’m in the area. .
