I ate here the other day and everything was great and fresh! I haven’t had a hot sausage sandwich on bun in awhile it was well dressed and taste great it reminded me of Louisiana , I also had a chance to taste their wings and dessert and everything was delicious! Authentic Cajun fare offering boiled platter and delicious po-boys. I had a shrimp po-boy and my buddy had a fried catfish po-boy. We got the regular size and traded halfsies. I preferred the shrimp over the catfish, but the latter was bomb too.

I favor the red beans and rice. The frozen hurricane is comparable to Boudreaux’s. The food is too but is considerably cheaper. Like half of restaurants they show veterans appreciation. There is an ongoing leak in the men’s room. Sometimes no paper towels. The floor around the toilet is very slippery. Be careful.

Dine on the patio, the weather was nice. The cashier was not so friendly. He told a customer who purchased a frozen drink he would have to put the drink in the freezer as he passed the customer the drink. I should have run then, but i didn’t. Cashier seem to be a little short tempered not sure what else happened beside the frozen drinks wasn’t frozen. Any way a friend highly recommended Calliope’s but the s.main location. The westheimer location was nearest for us to met. I ordered boil shrimp, corn and egg. This was by far from creole taste. There was plenty of colored water the shrimp floated around in, very little seasoning. My friend order boil shrimp different seasoning same results no seasoning. Other friend order fried seafood smiled because she’s didn’t order boil seafood. Well she ate her fried shrimps but complained that her catfish tasted horrible. As you know food prices has gone up, I can’t afford to play with my coins. I was warned about the food at that location by another friend,but I didn’t listen. Lesson learned the hard way. Can’t say I’ll be going back to that location. Bye bye for now !

Food is just ok. The takes a long time to get your order and the service could use some work. I would understand the time needed if it tasted fresh but it seems more pre-packaged quality. The music was loud and it is a small area so it gets crowded. I did enjoy the gumbo but it wasn’t anything special.

Our family ordered a bunch of food and it was ready for pickup in a timely manner. Every item we asked for was correct and most were delish. my son and I each got the eleven inch roast beef Poboys with gravy, amazing, and huge, we’ll get one and share it next time. One of us loved the fried shrimp plate, another enjoyed the fried shrimp Poboy, my wife shared one of the best bowls of crawfish and shrimp etouffes we’ve ever tasted, butter based…..definitely get this item. The onion rings were amazing, French fries we will skip next, just average.
The boudin balls were just three stars. Ordering on line will work if you order less than 50 dollars.
We ordered a small etouffee, bland, some boudin balls, a small fried chicken po boy and a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo, the gumbo had no sausage in it. Not up to our expectations.
My wife picked up a to go bowl of crawfish etoufe and it was very tasty. WE’ll be back for more goodies.
We’ve dined in twice in the last few days and loved both meals. My wife got a half pound of boiled shrimp with mild garlic butter. I went with a small roast beef & gravy and a small 2 piece fried boudin balls….our second visit the following day involved us devouring a small bowl of mixed gumbo…..you can 3 different sizes…. and a bowl of crawfish etoufe and an amazing fried crawfish pie with remoulade sauce. Great food and service.

Shrimp pool was delicious. The cheese crawfish rolls were not my favorite. The crawfish pie was good. The fish was good but could have used a few more minutes. The fried rice was good. Many options to choose from.

The suicide shrimp box with the sauce is fire ! Would definitely recommend. The potato should be cooked more or cut in half to get the flavor though.
