Husband and I saw this pub from the street that reminded us of some of the welcoming pubs we have frequented along the coast. One can never go wrong with an Irish Pub!
The pub is spacious with a long bar, pool tables, and clean restrooms (a plus+).
Our bartender Taylor is an exceptional person to meet! Excellent conversationalist, Notre Dame Enthusiast, and am sure that young women find him to have handsome Irish looks.
We had wings, rings, cheese stix-, the staple bar food, as neither of us were up for steaks or a big meal. Very good fare, not greasy, nicely crispy, satisfying.
Visitors and locals alike should partake of the food, the drinks, and the revelry of this lovely pub. Very enjoyable experience!!

Went in on a Tuesday evening. The pool tables were opened up for free play. A fun night with good service and a nice crowd. Lots of TVs and spirited Irish atmosphere. Great time

Great little gem. Fun place to hang out with friends, drink a pint and eat very good traditional Irish fare. Atmosphere lives up to its name. If you are on the island to play golf, Callahan’s is a great place post-round to relax.

Callahan’s Irish Pub was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty—especially thanks to Cody, the manager. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience, even arranging a comfortable spot so our grandkids could sit and enjoy the game with us. That level of care and attention truly meant a lot.
This was our first time vacationing on the island, and while it definitely won’t be our last, one thing is certain: Callahan’s will always be a staple for us. Great atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and a place that makes you feel like family. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved the place and the vibe. I was visiting my girlfriend’s family and it was my first time on hhi ! I’ve heard about Callahans from locals and they were not wrong. I stopped by for lunch but stayed till the end of happy hours. The girl behind the bar was amazing! She was very friendly and attentive. Idk how did she handled all by herself! I think her name was Tanya, don’t remember her full name. Anyway, I had a great time, good food and drinks, definitely come back when I’m on hhi!

First time visiting Hilton Head, Callahans was by far the best bar i went to. The bartenders are the best. Taylor, an amazing personality, very welcoming and attentive. Cody, cool as Ice very attentive. Drew, was all the things mentioned. I cant remembered their names of the two ladies working last night with Drew, they did outstanding, the place got backed but they handled business. The food I had here was amazing. If you watch sports this is a great place for it. Thanks for an amazing time. I will 100% be back. -Big Sexy.

Cody is truly one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. His drinks are consistently amazing — perfectly balanced and always made with care. No matter what you order, it tastes just as delicious every time. On top of his skill, Cody is always friendly, professional, and brings great energy to the bar with his humor and positive attitude. He makes every visit an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend grabbing a drink from him! Truly one of the main reasons we continue to come to this bar. Thanks Cody!

Myself and family came by to play pool. The establishment was hot temperature wise but the bartender was very friendly. We didn’t like the feel of the pub so we left.

This place is a wholeee vibe ! We had the best time. We came from out of town and actually came here twice over the weekend. Our waitress was the best , she was so busy but gave amazing service. I wish I could remember her name, she had long black braids , a nose piercing and a double tongue piercing. So sweet. The wings were huge , flavorful ,and they let us have all flats. Everyone playing pool was nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend the DJ play better music, only complaint.

This used to be the local “townie” bar. Now after the face lift it has changed to more of a younger crowd that want to avoid the insanity of the Triangle. The food is your average five bar fare. Zeb is still managing the bar which is nice to see. They added a nice whiskey selection as well.
The only criticisms are that their bathrooms are still not great, the music on weekends is loud and every song sounds the same. The pool tables desperately need to be refelted. And for some reason the female bartenders are in a competition to wear as little as possible from the waste up, which can be off putting. Overall Callahans is still a decent quiet dive bar to go to, but the local crowd has seemed to move elsewhere.
