Been there 3 times, twice I was extremely sick third time I hardly ate any of it. Nachos weren’t warmed like they usually are, no flavors guacamole had more onions in it than avocado. All these reviews w lots of stats have got to be their friends and relatives. Once owner took care of me and stayed on the phone complaining about a school

The food portions are great for the price. My husband and I both thought the ground beef meat in our burrito and salad was very bland. It didn’t appear to be seasoned. It didn’t seem like my burrito came with salsa or sour cream and it was supposed to. I added the salsa and sour cream from my sons quesadillas and it tasted much better. Otherwise I appreciate the portions and it was good once it had flavoring.

Not sure how there are so many 1 star reviews. I went here and had the classic burrito. I can tell you what. That burrito slaps! So delicious and fresh. The urge to order a second one was very strong. I will most certainly be coming back to this place.
I wish this place was closer to me. This is a great break from the dozens of Italian restaurants and Chinese food in the area. If you’re considering going here and having doubts due to the 1 stars, just go! The food is fresh and so good.
I will be reporting back in time when I go again to try other items on the menu.

I ordered the “classic burrito”. The description from the menu reads:
“Rice, black beans, jack cheese, salsa, sour cream w. taco beef or you could add Mesquite chicken, shredded Pork, shrimp or fresh veggies”
I got the shredded pork.
They were extremely generous with the rice. It was about 90% rice. There was no sour cream or salsa in the burrito, and very little meat. I would have been better off getting some pork fried rice from the Chinese place next door and wrapping it in a tortilla.
My daughter ordered hers with mesquite chicken, and only cheese and lettuce (no rice or beans, nor the sour cream or salsa that I didn’t get anyway), so she lucked out and got a lot of chicken, so they get 2 points for that, but thats overly generous all in all.

Pretty solid food! Ordered a chicken burrito and an assortment tacos and everything was good, fresh, and honestly more than I expected from a rural Pennsylvania Tex-Mex restaurant. Coming from NYC, I just needed a place to get my occasional taco fix when out at the lake and I just found it. The staff was super nice, making everything just the way I asked for AND if you’re a spicy sort, you must try their homemade hot sauce!
I will 100% be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Have had food from here before – always fresh & delicious!! Had the opportunity to visit the location to pick up some yummy food. What a cute place!! So authentic and welcoming. Received take out and couldn’t wait to dig in… So delicious!! The empanadas were amazing! Kudos to the owners (so friendly) and staff! Thank you, thank you 🙂

I used to really love this place, but the past two times I’ve gone my takeout orders have been prepared wrong, which is really disappointing. (Yesterday my Crunchwrap which is supposed to come with beef, came half filled with another type of meat- not sure if it was chicken or pork since I didn’t order that so I couldn’t eat it). Hoping they can get this sorted out as it seems other recent reviews report the same issue.

I had California Taco cater a birthday party and it was a huge hit!!
We did a taco bar and the meats were seasoned to perfection. My guests loved it!!
The chips and homemade salsa were delicious. I highly recommend for your party or go for lunch !!! It’s great!

I ordered online and did curbside pickup. The online ordering system is so easy. I ordered a beef hard taco, pulled pork soft taco and a veggie burrito. They forgot to add my sides of smoked habanero and yogurt avocado so that was disappointing. I didn’t enjoy the beef hard shell taco at all – the seasoning just tasted salty to me and the shell looked like it was deep fried. I enjoyed the lettuce and tomato toppings on the beef taco though. The pulled pork with cilantro and onions was delicious in the two soft shells. Salsa was chunky goodness and not spicy. I ordered the guacamole side which just tasted like a spread rather than homemade and the nacho cheese was bright yellow nacho cheese. Veggie burrito was stuffed with goodness as well just wish we had the sides to make it taste even better. I’ll definitely order again and double check that everything is added.
