California Smash is such a fun addition to the area! This 30,000 sq ft pickleball-meets-social-club is on another level — bright colors, great music, and an epic vibe the moment you walk in. It’s like bowling reimagined… but way better. The courts are gorgeous, the bar and restaurant are super inviting, and it’s the perfect spot for events or group hangouts. Whether you’re playing, eating, or just soaking up the atmosphere, this place is a blast. Highly recommend!

I visited Los Angeles on the rainiest week of the year. This venue offers great indoor courts to reserve or join in for open play. You’ll need the app to get started to join in. $20 drop in for open play that was 8am-noon. Had a great time meeting new players and the staff is a 10/10.

Did a beginner’s social on a Saturday afternoon. Had a great time and had wide range of beginners show up.
Facility was very nice, clean and well equipped… even had showers and lockers in the restrooms even though we didn’t use them.
Staff was friendly and our coach for the event (Carlos Briones) was a great facilitator and provided some tips for the
beginners.
Would definitely return for the same level social or to book our own reservation. Highly recommend!

California Smash is one of the most fun and welcoming social sports communities I’ve been part of. It’s the perfect mix of great energy, friendly competition, and an all-around awesome atmosphere.
Whether you’re brand new to pickleball or already obsessed, the vibe is super inclusive and never intimidating. If you’re just starting out, the beginner class with Carlos is a fantastic option. He makes learning the game easy and fun, and you walk away actually understanding how to play.

The pickleball is high-quality, from the courts, to the layout, to the overall venue. Everything is thoughtfully designed and built for both serious play and casual fun. But honestly? I’d come here even if I never picked up a paddle.

Plus there are indoor/outdoor dining/hangout options. It’s rare to find a spot that does both food and the social element this well.

The courts are in pristine condition, the lighting is perfect (no glare!), and the climate control makes a huge difference during long sessions. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a professional-grade environment for players of all levels.
What really sets this place apart, however, is the team:
• Carlos: A huge thank you to Carlos for his excellent recommendation. I was unsure about which session or gear would suit my skill level, and his advice was spot on. He clearly knows the game inside and out and made sure I had the best possible experience on the court.

I have gone twice now and the fun and pickle addiction is real. Carlos is the best instructor, he is patient, educational and fun. He takes the time to instruct, gives plenty of water breaks and has endless encouragement and excitement. I have also met new friends both times I attended. I promise if you go you will

Cali Smash in El Segundo is hands down one of the best spots around. The facility is top-notch, the vibe is welcoming, and the whole experience feels well thought out from the moment you walk in.
Huge shout-out to Javon — he’s been amazing every time I’ve gone. He always takes great care of us, brings great energy, and really elevates the experience. You can tell the team genuinely cares about creating a community, not just a place to play.
