I placed my order online at California Pizza Kitchen, Walnut Creek the previous day for pick up and overall had positive experience.
Since I chose to pick up my order at 11 am I arrived 5 mins in advanced. I was pleased to see that the place opened minute by minute sharp at 11 and I was welcomed in by manager.
I got my delicious whole red velvet cake(12 peaces for $70+$6.48 tax) sealed and securely packed in a carton box and a paper bag.
Parking is easy in the garage next door or street parking $2 per hour.
Interior is fresh, spacious, clean and modern.
Only concern that a girl/cashier could’ve been friendlier.
Anyway I can’t wait to come again and dine in to try their pizzas.

I went with my family on Monday and despite how busy they were at the lunch hour, we got a table in about 10 munutes. Everyone from the host to the waitress was friendly and professional. The new menu options are great because now you can pick smaller portions and combine them, as you can see in the pictures. We are repeat customers and will continue coming as the positive experience remains consistent. Thank you.

They don’t seem to be as busy as when they were located at the site where the Apple Store is, but I like this spot better. Parking is easy in the garage next door and the interior looks fresh and modern. The food is consistently good though the service can be spotty at times though we’ve just come to expect that.
One word of advice is to sit where you cannot see the television because they are distracting and can give away scores of games you care to watch later.
For dessert, my favorite is the key lime pie.

We were seated inside and they were strict with the masks. You have to have them on until you get your drinks or food. We were seated quickly and spaced out from everyone else. Our food was good. We ordered the tequila lime pasta and two different pizzas.
Update from three years ago: no more masks or having to be spaced out from everyone. The Kung Pao Pasta and chicken lettuce wraps were delicious.

Really good CPK. The staff are always very helpful and pleasant. The food is always good, comes out hot and in a very timely manner. The vibe is nice indoors and sitting outdoors on a nice day is very pleasant as well. We love coming here. Some items are sliightly on the pricey side which is a downer. But since everything is noormally pretty I cant complain too much.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because service is very slow. You see waiters walking around and not making eye contact with you so you can ask if you want something.
In other CPK-s you sit and waiters bring bread and oil as free starter.
We had to ask for that as well.

After the reviews I read, I was expecting something better. My son’s pizza was burned, they even cared when I complained about it (I was so mad I didn’t take a picture) my daughter shared her pizza, that’s the picture. My rolls were amazing as the bread. The other pizzas and the drinks were just ok. The wait was too long (more than45 min) and place was almost empty.
