California Pizza Kitchen delivered a genuinely standout dine‑in experience. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. The pizzas were especially impressive, with a nice balance of flavors, a great crust, and toppings that tasted fresh and thoughtfully put together. The drinks were refreshing and paired really well with the meal, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming, making it a great spot to unwind and enjoy good food. A solid five‑star visit all around.

Incredible fresh ingredients, delicious appetizers and the healthiest and best pizza we’ve ever had. The wine selection was impressive and some good names too… What a find! Seriously wish there were more locations in our area!

this was my first and last time ever eating at California Pizza Kitchen and Taylor the server can take all the wonderful credit first of all she took so long to even come take my order that the hostess who sat me down even went up to me saying she doesn’t understand why no one came to help me yet. when she finally came, I started excitedly with a mimosa .. worst mimosa I ever had. Disgusting. I didn’t really like or enjoy any of my other food. It took way too long for Taylor to even notice I didn’t even have silverware. Not once did she check on me asking how my meal was or if I needed anything. I had to flag her down like a foot ball to get her attention. Towards the end the device used for payment was having issues not once not twice but three times. But every time Taylor just carelessly gave me the device and walked away immediately to yap with her coworker, completely aloof I’m trying to get her attention. Her coworker that she was too busy talking to noticed I was trying to make eye contact with her and SHE came to help me. She noticed I barely touched my food and asked me if I actually liked my food. She saw that I barely had my drink, and asked if that was my first. And I said yes, it was. So she went out of her way to take that off of my receipt, soenthing Taylor was too carless to do. Also I remember her asking other diners and checking on them and taking care of them while ignoring me my whole time there. I really hope management at this establishment turns a page and create a commitment to properly train their staff.

Food was great, but the service from Barb was even better. She caught that the dressing on the cauliflower app wasn’t vegetarian-friendly and swapped it for a delicious bleu cheese option for us. Truly impressed by her menu knowledge and attention to detail!

We stopped in for take out food for dinner on a Monday. We got the full California Cobb Salad, Street Corn and Neopolitan Barratta Pizza. My wife has a gluten issue (Celiac) and cannot have any gluten in her food. CPK has GF food items noted on their menu. We also took part in a fund raiser in which CPK will donate 20% of your receipt toward a designated charity. This restaurant is bright, open and attractive with plenty of seating. It also has outdoor seating when it’s not winter.

It was not busy mid-afternoon. Customers were seated throughout the restaurant, not crowded in one section.
Service was good and attentive.
Food: Pizza original crust, half five cheese & half pepperoni, was down well. It was not too crunchy or too soft. Salads are large portion. Best to be clear small side salad versus side salad .
Happy hour: Margarita, Sangria & Mango ice tea unsweetened. All were refreshing and good price.
As the evening began, the tables were filling up quickly.
Worth visiting!

My friend and I decided to get together in the Norristown area for the first time. He selected the California Pizza Kitchen. I had never heard of it before and there’s none in my area of NJ. The people were very nice upon entry. The meals were very tasty and fresh. I would definitely return in the future.

This place was nice. The only issue I had was the odor. It smelled peculiar, like some type of cleaner or something. I believe they may have done some remodeling and it may have been the booths that gave the odor. Other than that our waitress/bartender was great and the service and food were a thumbs up.

Food ok and service great, but the foul odor was unbearable. The odor was so bad that it turned me off of the food. I was trying to put my finger on what it could be. Smelled like sulfur, cabbage, or spoiled eggs. I’m wondering if there are some dead rodents in the walls or HVAC. It’s really unfortunate that a large chain restaurant can’t resolve this. I saw other reviews mentioning the awful odor as well.

The food was great. It was worth the cost for sure. However, the service is a bit off here. Starting at the top. Not any servers in particular. Just the whole vibe the manager gives off and the overall culture of the place. Sadly, I won’t be eating here anytime soon, but I definitely will order carry out.
