Food: we ordered a margherita pizza and fettuccine Alfredo. The margherita pizza was excellent with crispy edges and a thin crust. The sauce was spot on. If we just ordered the pizza, this place would’ve had a full mark, but they fell short when it came to the pasta. Very bland.
Service: the waiters were super friendly and chatty. Quick and efficient service.
Atmosphere: the place was semi empty and the bg music was great. Everything seems clean.
7.2/10, recommend for all the mall visitors and people living close to it, but I wouldn’t drive just to try it.

I’ve NEVER had a better experience at CPK than I had on Friday! The food was even better than it’s EVER been, and the waitress (Jo) was bar none, the best ever!!! Kind, friendly, attentive to all my needs the whole time. My lunch was my favorite soup, the tomato-basil, with the most buttery croutons. I could’ve eaten a half gallon of it, it was THAT good. And the Thai crunch salad? Oh my. No words for how delicious AND healthy it was. The chicken, veg. including MY FAVORITE, edamame, and wonton strips. Come on!!! A great lunch for about maybe 600 calories? Where can you get that? CPK of course! And the coffee, as always, was divine. It’s a brand I’ve never heard of, but it is absolutely terrific!!!

Read through several of the reviews to see if I would experience any of the things other people found good or not so good.
Here is my experience.
We signed in online and when we arrived the host sat us within about a minute on a Friday at 6 pm.
The server was at the table within a few minutes and we ordered drinks and our food. Not our first time so we were ready.
Wedge salad arrived at the table before our drinks. Good chucks of bacon a generous portion of dressing.
Endless Sunshine drink, good and refreshing. See photo.
I had the Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage pizza. My favorite and still good.
With gluten allergies in the family I appreciate the separate prep area for gluten allergies.
Well, for dessert they were out of the Pumpkin Cheesecake so I went with the Butter Cake. Pushed through and ate for sport to get it all finished.

GM Trista was so accommodating taking my catering order of 4 pastas for Christmas Eve! Irvin and the carryout assistant were gracious in their hospitality at the time of pick up, and had everything I needed correct and ready to go upon my arrival. The food was hot and delicious. Thank you Old Orchard CPK for an easy and yummy catering order! Can’t wait to do it again and would recommend to anyone looking for catering options.

Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Can’t go wrong with the BBQ chicken or tostada pizza. Avocado egg rolls and Mexican street corn are great appetizers. Butter cake is a fantastic dessert.

This restaurant holds a special place in our heart, we love going to CPK for birthdays and special times. The buffalo cauliflower and artichoke dip are incredible appetizers. The garlic cream fettuccine and pizzas were extremely fresh and delicious! Lastly, don’t forget to get the butter cake, the texture is so incredible and the ice cream goes extremely well with the butter cake.

This was our first and last visit to California Pizza Kitchen.
My family and I were the very first ones seated today. While waiting, we noticed that two tables who arrived after us were given bread, yet we were not. I asked our server if we could have some bread as well, especially since my daughter was getting hungry, and he told us there was a wait. We never ended up receiving any bread at all, which felt rude and unfair considering we were there first.
When our food finally arrived, everyone got their meal except me. The server told me they forgot to add pepperoni to my pizza and had to remake it. Overall, the food was mid and definitely not worth the price. The service was disappointing, and the experience left a bad impression. We will not be coming back.

This is my first time at the California Pizza Kitchen located in Old Orchard (Skokie, IL) and it’s been since pre-COVID when I last ate at another location. Met a friend for an early dinner on a weekday. We stood at the front of the restaurant before anyone acknowledged us and seated us. There were only three tables occupied and several people at the bar. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Bread and seasoned olive oil is complimentary. We ordered Mexican Corn and the Wild Mushroom Pizza. It was very good. Our waiter told us about the Take & Bake $9 Pizza, so I got the Margarita Pizza for tomorrow. Thanks and I’ll be back to try more pizzas.

I have always been a fan of Cpk but it’s been a long time since I have been to one. Imagine how happy I was to discover this location. Went on a Friday for lunch and had such a great experience. The service, the food and everything in between. If you’re at this mall.. a great choice for lunch. Also check out their new happy hour!!
