I order from here all the time the food is really good in general. But the new lobster roll is not it. The portion is on the small side for 14.00 a la carte. Also was a little too charred from toasting on the grill. Unfortunately online orders refunds are done in-store, the manager has to request the refund. Very disappointing…

California Fish Grill has awesome food for a great price.
The fish and chips is perfect – the fish itself high quality and flaky while the batter is perfectly crisp and the right amount of oily. The fries are also really good, seasoned well and not too greasy.
The chicken tacos are huge – lots of chicken and plenty of the other toppings to balance them nicely.
The garlic bread is so good – grilled nicely and the garlic and parmesan is just right. Chips and salsa are even good too – some of the chips are heavily spiced and don’t even need also to have good flavor.
We Ubered over from the strip just for it and were so glad that we did.

The food and ingredients taste fresh. However, could use more salt and seasonings on the fish to bring out the flavor of the food. The fried fish is not left soaking in grease like Long John Silver’s. Fresh asparagus. Salmon tasted great. Cauliflower rice available. Great plated presentation. Great customer service. Employees are knowledgeable of the menu and make good suggestions to upgrade our plates. Atmosphere is relaxed open seating. You can hear yourself think. Signs would be nice to let patrons know staff will clean up and take trays and plates when finished. Disappointed that they do not leave extra napkins out by the beverages. You end up having to either fall in line again to not be rude or go up to the counter and bother the cashier. Prices are a bit expensive, even to add 2 coconut shrimp on the side is like a regular meal…maybe because this grill is California prices? LOL Parking can be a challenge as this restaurant is right next to the In N’ Out Drive Thru lanes and shares with several surrounding businesses. A must try though.

Very nice, modern looking, casual dining spot. Ordering is all done through the computer screens at the front, but the staff was still very helpful with questions and support while ordering. Decent options, I chose the Dynamite Shrimp Bowl which was very good. Not super spicy but a good balance of spice and tart/creaminess, and a nice sized portion for lunch. Beverage options include soft drinks, crafted lemonades, and water. I missed seeing any dessert options so not too sure on that. Pricing for lunch for two people was about $40.

The experience at this restaurant really felt cheap. Has anyone else ever ordered a side of shrimp and received just 1 shrimp cut in half? ♀️ See for yourself in the photos.
The side of shrimp was supposed to come in the clam chowder, but they put it on the side by mistake (my boyfriend overheard an employee telling another one about it).
When you pay extra for a clam chowder with shrimp, you expect them to add shrimp to your soup, but instead, you’re paying extra for half of a shrimp that’s used as decoration, leaving the outside part of the shrimp visible so you think there are shrimp inside the soup, with two more on top for decoration. The crackers in the 3rd photo never arrived either.
The chicken breast was dry, as if they were trying to save as much as possible… which makes sense given the whole half shrimp situation
I decided to try this place for the first time… and for sure, it will be the last. Thank you for reading.
