I Originally Came To This Shopping Center To Go To Baja Fresh, But Once I Arrived I Noticed This New Spot That Took Over The Space. I Checked Out The Menu Out Of Curiosity, Left, And Decided To Come Back Later To Actually Try It & I’m So Glad I Did.
Located In A Shopping Center With Plenty Of Free Parking, Which Makes It Easy & Convenient.
The Customer Service Here Is Top Tier, Seriously Amazing. Isabella Is Such A Sweet Person, Always Smiling Both Times I Came In. She Was Helpful With Suggestions & Just Has A Really Warm Personality & Spirit.
The Manager Was Also Friendly And Helpful, Working Just As Hard As The Employees Which I Always Respect Seeing. The Team Here Really Makes The Experience Better. ⭐️

For $12.99 This Is Honestly A Steal, It Also Comes With Pinto Beans, Tomatoes, Parsley, Salsa, & Rice. Everything Tastes Amazing & The Portion Is Very Filling. Next Time I’m Adding Avocado Since They Ran Out This Time.
*I Added Cajun Butter, Which Elevated The Flavor Even More. The Combination Of Seafood And Seasoning Was Perfect. Between The Price & Taste, I’m Honestly Wondering Where This Spot Has Been All This Time.

The Dirty Butter Lobster Roll On A Soft Roll Was So Good. They Give A Nice Amount Of Lobster & The Buttery Flavor Paired With The Perfectly Cooked Lobster Was Delicious. Another Item That Feels Like A Steal For The Price, I’m Really Happy I Tried It.
Their Soda Fountain Is One Of The Coolest I’ve Seen With Some Really Unique Flavors.

I really wanted to like California Fish Grill. The restaurant itself was super clean and the employees were very nice, which we appreciated. Honestly, the food even looked good at first… until we actually put our fork into it.
We ordered cod, shrimp, dynamite fries, Brussels sprouts, and garlic bread. The dynamite fries had good flavor but were cold and soggy. The Brussels sprouts actually tasted great, but they were also cold. The cod was small, dry, and mostly batter, and the batter was hard and kind of mealy. The shrimp tasted like they came straight out of a bag, pre-battered. They were hard, dry, and cold too.
Overall, everything tasted greasy and heavy, which isn’t what you expect from a place that advertises fresh seafood. We were hoping it would be more like Slapfish, but it clearly missed the mark.
Our meal came out to $36.34 and was barely edible. Sadly, this will be a never again for us.

Yum! Soft opening that I scored on Facebook. Friendly, courteous staff, and very good battered fish tacos. I subbed a flour tortilla for corn. Hubs really liked the shrimp tacos. Prices not bad for fresh fish meal. Forgot to take pictures of our dishes :/

Well I thought this was going to be an upscale fish and chips place, boy was I wrong. The fish was overpriced and overcooked. it was drowning in oil. Spent close to $60 and it was some of the worst food that I’ve had in a while. What a shame. The staff was very nice and very accommodating when I asked for ketchup and salt. Hope they can pull this out cuz as of right now I don’t see this place lasting

I like this food. Please try it for yourself. I have only had a few dishes. All good. I like to eat here. Pickup food was good, but I live 6 min away, so that is easier.
I enjoy the fact they run out of items and display online quickly. I means fresher products in my mind.

I really wanted to like this place since it’s so close to us, but my first experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing . Our online pickup order was missing three sides, two sauces we paid for, and they didn’t include the cup for the fountain drink. I also requested utensils be included but had to ask for those before I left (not a huge deal), but in total 7 items were missed, which was literally half of the items in our order.
I didn’t realize how wrong everything was until I got home, so I had to drive back. When I returned, the manager was defensive about the utensils being highlighted on the ticket with the other missing items, even though that was the smallest issue compared to everything else missing.
The restaurant wasn’t even overly busy (still several open tables, only a couple people in line ordering at self-serve kiosks, one other takeout order on the shelves), and the mistakes were obvious — one of our entrees even had someone else’s name on it and was marked as takeout instead of online like the rest of our food. It’s clear our order was not checked during or after it was packaged.
They did give me the missing items when I returned, but there was no offer to refund anything, discount, or even acknowledge how much of an inconvenience it was. For $82, including tip since you have to do that ahead of time these days, I expected much better accuracy and customer service.
The food was very mediocre. Perhaps it would have been better if we were able to eat as soon as we got home instead of needing to go back to the restaurant to get the rest of it, but the sweet potato fries were soggy, the butter for the lobster rolls was chunky and had a piece of lobster already in it, the salsa was bland, and the corn was soggy.
Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

This place is nice and the staff are VERY friendly. However, the food was a terrible let down especially the rice (brown and white). I came here twice, the first time I ordered the “everything protein bowl with brown rice” which I’ll probably never get again the protein portion was so tiny (tasted dry too) + they filled my bowl with HARD RICE ( im talking maybe uncooked like 1/3 of the rice). I’m not sure how they made the rice that day but this was crazy. I admit I’m optimist and I believe in second chances so I came back a week later and ordered a different bowl (mediterranean chicken bowl with white rice)which was yummy. But, the rice once again was still hard (although it was not as hard as the first bowl) I just don’t think its worth sifting through my food and chewing slow hoping to not chip a tooth on hard rice 🙁

California Fish Grill is a nice place to eat. It is located in a shopping strip mall area. There is decent parking, but it is often hard to find a spot nearby. There is an Amazon Fresh grocery store next to the restaurant. There were few people at the restaurant when my son and I arrived (2pm), so it was easy to find a seat (might be different if it was during normal lunch rush hours). The restaurant was very clean! We ordered at a kiosk. There is a decent selection of food (lobster rolls, fish sandwiches, grilled fish/shrimp, fried fish/shrimp/calamari, chowder, protein bowls, and a lot more). The staff were friendly and nice. The food was very good. The shrimp skewers and coconut shrimp were fantastic! The grilled salmon and grilled whitefish were fantastic! The batter-fried whitefish was good! The calamari appetizer was good. My son loved the sea salt mango drink. I did not like the strawberry mint drink (however, it might have been great as a Margherita). Overall, we thought the food and service were very good. It cost us $70. And we sat down and had a great time.

Ordered here for a lunch meeting. This was a ToGo order and someone else had to pick it up. When I received my order a whole side of coleslaw was missing. How do miss a whole side of coleslaw? Food was good but incomplete.. I did call and was offered a refund on 50% of my order. In the future I wlll be sure to have my order double checked. Giving them a break because they just opened.
