Local counter-serve chain offering a menu of rotisserie chicken, wraps & salads, plus sides.

This place is good but has changed. They are takeout only and were very busy on a Saturday afternoon. They used to have common plates but now the chicken and sides are ordered separately. I got the ranch wrap and my husband got the maltose wrap (not pictured) plus a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. My wrap was really good although a little bland and not a ton of chicken. My husband enjoyed his wrap and said the Italian dressing was yummy. The gravy for the potatoes was really yummy ! We waited about 20 minutes for our food though. They were really busy with drive up and call in orders. I do love that the wraps are filled with fresh veggies and are a good portion size.

I want to update my review because the experience I had this past Tuesday was not up to my expectations, but the way everything was handled afterward truly meant a lot to me.
Alex was great over the phone. I didn’t even have my receipt, yet he took the time to look it up, listen to my concerns, and make sure the staff knew who I was before I came back in. That already made me feel heard.
When I arrived, the General Manager, Milton, was there, and he was honestly sooooo nice. He knew my name, acknowledged the situation, and went above and beyond while I waited — he gave me two cookies and a drink, kept checking in, and made sure I was taken care of. The hospitality was genuine and thoughtful.
Even though I haven’t tasted the chicken wrap yet, I’m sure it’s going to be great. The customer service alone left such a positive impression. This is how a restaurant should be run.
I truly appreciate Milton, Alex, and the entire team for turning things around. I’ll definitely be back.

Never go here. Skip this place and go to any other place even Chipotle. Why? The food at CCC is actually pretty great but ever since they converted themselves to a takeout only chain restaurant it’s the worst experience ever. I’ve never not waited less than 20 minutes for my food and that’s after the 10 minute process to order it through their clunky website. On top of that they don’t have signs or instructions when you show up so don’t park in the parking space! They won’t bring your food. Do you have to pull up and wait in front of the door. What if it’s busy? Oops you’re stuck out in the street waiting in your car behind a line of other cars.
Don’t be confused. This is no efficient operation like In-N-Out or chipotle. Save your time and go to a local restaurant it will take less time and you’ll be supporting a small business. One star is too many for this experience.

Had the 1/4 juicy chicken, veggie rice, and seasonal fruit. All tasted fresh and was very good. Great service and might take a bit for your order since they seem busy, which is always a good sign.

Love the salads. My kids love the salads. All take out all the time for us.. I guess you can eat outside but we just order beforehand and pickup. Kinda like drive through. So service is usually good but you get an occasional perfunctory person.

Every time I walk into California Chicken Café, it’s a whole vibe!
Priscilla runs the show like a pro — everything’s always timely, fresh, and amazing! You can tell she genuinely cares about keeping customers happy.
And Fres – The energy, the friendliness, the eyebrows on fleek — 10/10 service every single time!
The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and just hits right. Whether it’s the wraps, chicken, or those addicting Chinese chicken salads,(pro tip : ask for the chicken to be hot and save the skin on the side , add feta cheese – you can’t go wrong.
Huge shoutout to the whole team for keeping the place spotless, efficient, and full of good energy. Keep doing your thing, CCC!

So I’ve tried the Melrose chicken wrap, the Caesar wrap, the ranch wrap, the broccoli pasta salad, the Chinese chicken salad along with the cookies and house made lemonade. Everything was phenomenal. I had to go back to try something different and every time I tried something different and never failed me. Everything has been phenomenal there from the dressings to the wraps to the desserts and even the drinks. I’ve bought ranch, and Italian dressing for home. If you’re into wraps, this is a definite must try. The food is phenomenal so there’s always a good size weight. It’s better to order your food and go in person to pick it up.

Calif Chicken Cafe is an excellent spot for anyone who loves a good meal and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite transitioning to takeout orders only after COVID, the cafe has maintained its charm and quality. They offer outside seating, making it easy to enjoy your food on-site. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff are always friendly and attentive, ensuring a positive experience every time. The washrooms are also impeccably clean, reflecting their commitment to hygiene. I highly recommend Calif Chicken Cafe to anyone who loves salads- they have a fantastic selection that’s always fresh and delicious. It is a cashless restaurant.

I’ve been around long enough to see this place open and be packed/busy… but I don’t know what happened during Covid… it feels like the place is still under lock down orders. Almost like the managers gave some sound advice about “taking orders to-go as a priority, keep people away from the restaurant, no inside seating, repurpose the nice interior seating with mindless storage bins, hire less people and make it take over 15 mins to get 1/4 chicken and vegetables soup when BOTH THINGS ARE ALREADY COOKED FOR OVER 3hrs and ready to go… but no let’s wait 15 because it’s soooo busy. Not to mention let’s unnecessarily overly double triple bag things, hurt the environment more….” And then those managers just vanished and now they the workers are stuck in purgatory… Such a waste.
I go for the healthy aspect of the food. But they got rid of all the fresh salsas, lemons and even the half dry pita they used to give out!

I was close to this spot and wanted to see if their chicken was great. It definitely is and I highly recommend this spot.
Just be aware there is no indoor seating at this spot especially during this cold weather so be prepared to go for pick up or eat on their outside seating. I ordered their half chicken rotisserie and it was on point. Excellent flavor, seasoning and tenderness, probably one of the best rotisserie chickens I’ve ever had. Their Caesar salad was pretty standard with croutons. It was good but nothing to brag about. Now their aloha cookie was excellent, so good I bought two. Nice nutty flavor with great little chocolate pieces, probably one of my favorite cookies.
I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items and go back for the rotisserie and cookies!
