Caliente is one of our favorite lunch spots! My coworker and I go there during our break, and it’s always a great time. Jorge is super sweet and makes everyone feel welcome.
The food tastes like it was made at home so good and full of flavor. You can tell they care about what they cook.

Caliente Mexican restaurant is a typical San Diego taco restaurant at the end of Carmel Mountain road and intersection with Sorrento Valley Road. They have a great patio area to relax and eat your food. I had a carnitas taco which was excellent and the rolled tacos which were just ok. Staff was friendly and service was very quick with reasonable prices.

Food was great. I got a Cali burrito, flavor was there and everything combined well. However, my wife got a carne asada burrito and it was extremely greasy. The entire bottom half ripped apart by the time she got to the middle from so much grease. Not the type to complain in person.. otherwise I think it may have been a one off.

I got the chicken rolled tacos with guacamole and they were perfect. I forgot to take a picture of them because I was so hungry. My boyfriend got the Al pastor tacos and I had a bite of one, they were so dang good. Prices were so affordable and we’ll definitely be back.

A really nice little Mexican spot with nice outdoor seating. I had the veggie burrito and it was definitely tasty. Their red salsa has a really good kick to it, I would definitely recommend it if you like spicy food. Burrito was a decent size and I would recommend you give this place a shot if you are in the area.

Truck driver delivering tomorrow. Hit this jus at the rite time .Supper time!!! Honest I love me some El Pastor and it’s very very good here. Recommend El Pastore burrito with the green sauce. It’s delicious. I was hopeful definitely not disappointed highly recommend Caliente Mexican food in San Diego
