We’ve been to Caliburger about 4 times at different times of the day each time and it is in fact empty. I’m talking 2 or less patrons empty. But we’ve gone so many times because of a $14 Groupon that was worth $20 of food there. This last ten will likely be our final time though. The burgers are fine, nothing revolutionary, but the fries… They were hard-not crispy/crunchy-hard. It was as if they had been cooked, sat under the heat lamp, and them refried. They have a Coke freestyle machine and a large empty wall, aside from the flat screen that usually plays something sports related. There’s no music playing in the place anywhere. Super weird when combined with the restaurant’s empty metal chairs.

The burgers and fries were yummy and my kids liked the fact that you can get real scoop icecream for dessert. The place itself is modern however the set up is very clutered and does not flow well for customers. The drink station is a choke point much like at Panera Bread. Plus….its a bit pricey.

Spent $35 on our meal and was not impressed! Turkey burger my husband had was dry my so called spicy chicken sandwich was not even spicy and on top of that had old burnt grease all over it. Our vanilla milkshakes tasted like just milk and our fries were hard and stale tasted. Only thing that was good was our fountain drinks! 1st time there and def would not go back! Stick to chic fila or Wendy’s you’ll be better off.

I stopped in for the first time today and it was okay. I got the cheeseburger combo which came with a 20 ounce drink and a choice of either regular fries or their California fries (onions, cheese, and their Cali sauce) or a salad. I got the regular fries. Before tax, this was $8.99. Not *too* bad.
But, I was underwhelmed by the size of the single patty. Fairly thin, about the size of a McDonald’s patty. The burger looked larger because of the amount of lettuce that was on it, the decent-sized bun, and the tomato and onion. There was also melted American cheese on it and their Cali sauce. The flavor overall was pretty good though…the burger was cooked right, still fairly juicy.
The fries that I received were super salty. Normally I don’t mind salty french fries but these were waaaay saltier than necessary. I hope this isn’t how their fries are typically made. The size of the fry cut is – again – similar to McDonald’s, which isn’t a bad size IMO, and they’re cooked nicely aside from the salt factor here. The few that I got that weren’t more salt than fry were pretty good.
The value is questionable here though compared to other places. The price of the burgers & sandwiches themselves aren’t too bad. They have a single hamburger and cheeseburger, or a double hamburger/cheeseburger, a turkey burger, and a black bean burger. Also a couple of chicken sandwiches. They do offer add-ons which range in price from 25 cents to $1.50…one such add-on is an extra patty. If you were to add everything on, then the burger could get pricey and that’s where the value would be lacking.
I did come in fairly early just after they first opened for the day so the place was looking clean and wasn’t too busy. There was a bit of a wait just for my order…a couple people that came in after me had ordered multiple items and their wait was a bit longer.

Cheerful environment, but a combo with a very small hamburger on a low grade, grocery store bun, drink, and fries (which were decent) was $9.32!! I’d expected a place that states, “experience the big taste of California” to have amazing buns, better than iceburg lettuce, and be more upscale. I will not be back and will stick to 5 Guys. Much better value for the money.

I went today for the first time and i have to say the cheeseburger was delicious, the fries are were hard! Ams it look like they put a piece of kraft cheese on top that dident melt! the shake is small for the price we paid. Also they need to have some one clean the tables. There were some that were dirty! So I think I will not go back. Not good for the price I paid next time I will just go to 5 guys!

The restaurant was bright and modern. The food was good, I was hungry so I ordered a double. The person I went with ordered a single, even after stating they were very hungry. The cashier recommended getting a double. So she upgraded and was very happy with it.
The food was amazing, I didn’t see many issue’s other people pointed out. But I also didn’t go the first day and waited for them to be trained.
The biggest issue I would state is the location is far back in the center.

The food is horrible. Went there for dinner at 5 not 1 customer entered the entire hour we were there. Burgers are your frozen patties small and taste terrible. This place will not last long. Can’t be making money. DO NOT trust the 5 star reviews. Look at who else they reviewed. Tells it all. First and last time here.

I went today on their soft opening and the cheeseburger was delicious, the fries are ok, the shake is small. One factor that I didn’t like was the cleaningles of the tables and floor.

Definitely a step up from McDonalds (that doesn’t say much) a huge step down from 5 Guys. Fries were decent.
