Second time visiting Calhouns. My buddies and I take a trip to the lake each summer and this has become an annual dinner spot.
Great service and the food is delicious. We’ve tried several items and have been happy with everything. Great spot for locals or people coming from out of town!

I was only in town for 1 night on a work related trip. Had never been there before. Got a pickup order. The staff were friendly and helpful! The brisket was delicious! Will definitely return next time I’m in town. Trying to get my husband to take me to dinner there sometime, even though it’s over an hour away!

Always LOVE the lakeside dining experience here at Calhoun’s. The decor with all the windows and outdoor sitting areas where you may enjoy the lakeside views and dining makes one of the best dining atmospheres you may experience anywhere.

The staff is always friendly and helpful about making suggestions from the wide variety of options on the menu. The food is delicious and my favorite like today is the BBQ chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants throughout eastern Tennessee. The sweet potato fries with cinnamon sauce is the best here.

I live in Athens but stop by Calhoun’s about once a month for lunch while work keeps me on the road in east Tennessee. I highly recommend Calhoun’s for great tasting food, high quality service and a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere.

Calhoun’s on the Lake in Loudon, TN is one of those places that just gets everything right. The location alone is hard to beat—beautiful lake views that make the whole experience feel relaxed and special, whether you’re dining inside or out. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal while taking in the scenery.

The food is consistently excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. From the classic favorites to the sides, it’s the kind of menu where everyone at the table can find something they love.

Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. You can tell the staff takes pride in making sure guests have a great experience, which really adds to the overall atmosphere.

Whether you’re visiting by boat, meeting friends for dinner, or just looking for a reliable, scenic place to eat, Calhoun’s on the Lake is a standout. Great food, great views, and a laid-back Tennessee lake vibe that keeps us coming back.

The food was very nice, actually better than I had expected. Dining on the water is always a win for us. The music was not overly loud as I find so many places to be these days. It was a lovely dinner. Sorry, I only took a photo of the appetizer not our entrees….

My buddy and I went to Calhouns for the first time today and thought this place had great food and a fun atmosphere. Both of us had the brisket plates which were very juicy and enjoyable, though we would have liked a little more on the plate itself for the price we were paying. Our server was Brie and we both think she did such an amazing job ensuring that we were taken care of with a friendly attitude and made sure that we had absolutely everything that we needed. She definitely helped put the cherry on top to make our experience there better. Would recommend Brie to anyone who is going to dine here for the first time or returning.

Let me tell you, my buddy and I were out fishing and we decided to stop in and get some food. They were shutting down for the night but a guy named Keenan hooked us up. Awesome dude, coolest guy I know. Calhouns is Amazing. If you see Keenan, make sure to tip him good because he will NOT disappoint! Thanks Keenan!

Had a decent sized group but got there late enough the place wasn’t busy, but also early enough that they had over an hour before closing. Food was good. It hit the spot. Wasn’t the best BBQ I’ve had, but it was tasty enough for the occasion. Beer selection was good and the house drafts were excellent. Service was slow, however our waiter was awesome. Super friendly and would honestly come back just because of him. The place is well decorated and from what I hear has a nice lakeview when it’s daylight. All in all it gets my approval.

Calhouns on the River in Lenior City offers an exceptional dining experience that I can’t recommend highly enough! The atmosphere was inviting and vibrant, enhancing our lunch experience. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She even crafted a wonderful Bloody Mary that was a perfect start to our meal.
The fresh bread served was delightful, setting the tone for the delicious and abundant dishes that followed. The highlight, however, was the unique opportunity to feed the geese, fish, and ducks right by the river, adding a fun and interactive element to our lunch.
Overall, my visit was fantastic, and I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to Calhouns on the River!

Wasn’t what we were use to at other Calhoun’s restaurants. The house salads were fresh. My husband said his brisket was very good. My chicken teriyaki was rather dry and seemed like it was dipped in sauce just before delivery. The acorn squash was good. Had to the ask for the bread that was suppose to come with the meal.
They sat us at the very far end of the deck next to a huge group of people with several very loud children.
The windows could use a good cleaning.
Like I said, not the standard set by other Calhoun’s we have visited. Too bad.
