Listen y’all, I was skeptical. It’s a trailer on stilts down a dirt path just over the bridge in Samson, Alabama. It’s country cooking and Jason said it was THE BEST BURGER HE’S EVER EATEN. We eat a lot of burgers all over the nation, so that says A LOT. He got the Cowboy burger (2- 6 oz patties, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, jalapenos, and French fried onions). I got the country candy burger that was an 8 oz patty, bacon jam, jalapenos, and caramelized onions. Omg!!!! The catfish and flounder the neighboring table got was devoured and they said it was great. This place is worth a trip from anywhere. Just don’t worry about being fancy, and come hungry!

Overall, our party thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. All the food tasted great. The French fries were exceptional. There were only a few negatives. The fried mushrooms were watery on the inside, and the serving size was very small for an appetizer, but the taste was very good. The brisket fries appetizer my friend had as her meal was cold on top, but underneath it was warm. There were a couple of concerns with the building. There are steep steps to the outdoor restroom, but I understand that the building expansion will take care of this issue. Due to some physical limitations, our party entered and exited by way of the ramp. A good sized portion of the ramp was very steep. For someone walking, it wouldn’t be a big issue, but for someone in a wheelchair, it could be a very big problem. Going up or down the steepest part of the ramp could be a source of injury to the person in the chair or the person assisting them.

Restaurant was clean and well presented. Food was outstanding and customer service was more than expected. Our attendant , Nicole, was spot on service and down home country friendly. We met some customers that was just passing thru on their way to the beach and stated that would be their stopping place on every trip. If you’re ready for some good ole country cooking and southern charm be sure to stop by, and don’t forget the sweet iced tea, the best in the land.

The best triple bacon burger I ever had. I did not eat all day and when I sat down to eat the delicious beast with fries and extra tater tots.
I would definitely be back!

This place is the cutest EVER! We stopped by on our way home from the beach and it was well worth detouring a bit to go. We had the best burgers we have ever had in our life. The waitress was a gem and so very sweet. We knew when we walked in and saw tables praying before they ate that we were at the right place. 10/10 recommend!

It is interesting to find and looks like a house from a distance but once you get up close you can clearly see it is marked. The waitress was super nice. The food is excellent!!! Highly recommend I will be going back to try more things as they have a very unique menu.

85 yo man with bad back and cane. Walked up ramp to find that I had to go back down to elevated restroom next door. No ramp just steps. A job for me. Trip back to dining room. Had the seafood platter. Fried oysters best I’ve had this year. Nice size shrimp breaded and cooked nice. Flounder was tasty. Crab bite tasted like real crab. Very good hush puppies. Cole slaw good but fine cut. Not my favorite. Special was Gumbo with shrimp okra and sausage. Gave me a taste sample. Did not look like it was made with roux. Tasted ok. Shrimp in it was excellent. Okra could have been cooked down a bit like most of us from Louisiana do. Now the kicker. It had whole kernel corn in it. Had that once before also here in lower Alabama. Told my cousin in New Orleans about the corn and she had a fit! I intend to make gumbo soon and plan to take some to the owner if my back gets better because I ain’t getting any younger! Regardless, we will be back. Thanks folks.

A great find along our drive home. It’s a little off the beaten path, but we’ll worth the stop! We shared the Creek Classic with sweet potato waffle fries, and a hamburger salad. EVERYTHING was fantastic and the salad with hot, cut up burger is something I’m going to start making at home.
We’re going to try and make this our ‘on the way home’ stop from now on!

We got lucky and stumbled upon this place. Specialty hamburgers were amazing. We had 7 people and we all cleared our plates and none of us ordered the same thing.
