The venue is absolutely beautiful.. it’s a mixture of cozy and elegance. The food was delicious, and our server was so accommodating and attentive to our entire group. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have a surprise birthday party. Thank you, Cala for working with us and helping make the celebration perfect.
All that said, not so good as far as the DJ goes. He’s only there for himself and not the guests. Didn’t like the music he played and he doesn’t take requests or even try to make it fun.

I’m usually not one to leave 2-star reviews, but I feel this is fair. I’ve tried many restaurants in Scottsdale, and this one was a bit of a letdown. The salad was the only dish I genuinely enjoyed; the others didn’t quite hit the mark. I’m no chef, but I always appreciate and applaud those who create standout dishes (just my opinion). The ambience is very nice, and the menu looks promising they just need to bring more flavor to their dishes.

The service and atmosphere were great—fun, lively, and just a bit loud, but still enjoyable. We celebrated a birthday here, and the seating made it easy for our whole group to chat comfortably. Huge kudos to the hostess for accommodating extra guests who arrived unexpectedly; she moved us to a larger table right away, and our server continued to take excellent care of us.
The appetizers were the standout—especially the meatballs and the whipped ricotta. The pork cutlet was served hot, which I really appreciated. And the birthday treat was such a fun surprise: it came out with a sparkler and the dessert was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and overall it’s a festive, memorable spot for a birthday celebration.

I absolutely love Cala. I have been here several times, twice for special occasions and twice just because. The food is amazing and very flavorful and the environment is always great. Their cocktails are kind of hit or miss for my group, but I really like their Pomegranate Pina Colada. All of their cocktails have a wonderful presentation. I brought a group of 13 people here for my birthday and I do wish they had a different option as far as large party pricing. Overall, they have not disappointed though. The waiters and waitresses always contribute positively to the dining experience. I especially love their broccolini as it has a slight bit of kick but it balances out well. Great indoor and patio seating.

Walk in and immediately a positive young fun vibe. The music, the lighting and the size of the restaurant. There is a large inside and outside drinking and dining area. The service was attentive but not over bearing. I like to have a few drinks before dinner and catch up with my friends. (Cam) our waitress respected our wishes and help make is a perfect night. The menu had something for everyone. My wife had the pizza and I had the Lamb Shank. Tender and delicious. I would go back and have recommended it to a friend already. THANKS

This restaurant wasn’t what I expected, it stating serving Mediterranean dishes didn’t seem like it. I got more of an Italian sense from it as we ordered pizza and pasta and salad. And WOW! The food was amazing. The 1 cocktail i order was soo goood! And dessert! My mouth is water just writing this review lol

The vibe was super cool & for a Sunday very chill and relaxed. Reminded me of Tulum , which I think was the vibe! They have a really good happy hour for seafood and cocktails. Would be such a dope venue if they had a DJ on the weekends!

We had a nice dinner here, its a gorgeous restaurant and the food was quite tasty. We did feel like service could be better and we got some weird energy from the servers in the beginning but our waitress was nice enough towards the end

Our waitress Alaina was SO amazing! She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Even though she was busy, she made us feel like her top priority and turned our meal into such a great experience!!
