Cake Fairyland in Stony Brook is seriously one of my favorite spots for desserts & drinks! It’s the kind of place where everything looks amazing, & somehow tastes even better once you actually try it.
Their crepe cakes are SO good (light, creamy, & not overly sweet), & the pastry selection is dangerous because I want one of everything every time I walk in. Everything feels fresh, flavorful, & beautifully made.
And don’t even get me started on the drinks. Their boba teas, fruit teas, slushes, & milk shakes are all incredible. Whether I’m in the mood for something refreshing or something sweet and indulgent, they always have the perfect option.
If you’re anywhere near Stony Brook, Cake Fairyland is a must! I’m obsessed with literally everything I’ve tried!

I truly wanted this place to work out, as I had ordered from them twice before without any problems. In the days leading up to the event, we communicated extensively via text about my cake order. I sent a reference photo, confirmed the colors, and discussed the cake flavor and filling. When I asked about pickup time for my daughter’s birthday cake, I was told to choose any time I wanted. I selected 1:30 PM, which they confirmed with a “sure,” along with a “love” reaction to my message saying, “Okay, see you then.”
On the day of my daughter’s birthday, my husband went to pick up the cake and was informed that it had not been made because a deposit was required. While I understand that some businesses require deposits, this was never mentioned during any of our prior conversations. This should have been clearly communicated. It is not the customer’s responsibility to ask about a deposit after the order details and pickup time have already been confirmed. If a deposit is required, the business should notify the customer, provide a payment link, or follow up before confirming the order.
Given that I had previously ordered and paid twice without issue, it was especially frustrating. Orders and pickup times should never be confirmed without first securing any required deposit. Due to this lack of communication and professionalism, our event was nearly ruined, and we ultimately had to cancel. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend ordering from this business due to their unreliability.
Update : with over 3000 orders, it surprising that my cake missed the mark.

I ordered a 8 inch red velvet cake for my daughter’s birthday. The cake was beautiful. Presentation was on point. The cake was delicious, not too sweet and had the best buttercream I’ve tasted in a long time.

How can you even sell this? I have worked in a restaurant before and these mousse cakes are extremely cheap and sometimes even gifted after you buy from suppliers. The mousse cake I bought was CERTAINLY not handmade and just squished together adding a self made cream and a little jam on top. This has to be the worst product I have gotten from this place. The cost to make this product is probably around three dollars, selling it for almost 8 bucks is purely insane. I have ordered a few times but this is just unacceptable especially when buffets serve this in batches and some suppliers gift it for free. The cake itself is grainy and dry as you can imagine and the cream tastes like chemicals and extract. What a shame. Absolutely disappointing. The durian crepe cake was barely even as big as the strawberry mousse that was not even as big as the palm of my hand. Given the size they sold it for 12 dollars. The fruit tea and cream puffs are decent but I would definitely not be coming back again.

I didn’t know they offered customized cakes until recently. I ordered a cake via text message just one day before my child’s Bday, sending them a picture of the design I wanted. They made it perfectly! The cake was not only beautiful but also fresh and delicious. I’ll definitely order from them again.

AMAZING!!! best bakery in long island, the aesthetic alone is gorgeous. the cake is perfectly baked the crepe cake was something i’ve never seen anywhere else and i loved it!!!! the bubble tea, which is also perfectly made comes in a adorable cat shaped reusable container. the staff is are kind, helpful and really work hard to make their business as enjoyable as possible. i 110% recommend go here ASAP!

Bought their cappuccino crepe cake and have to say it is really good! Was kind of indecisive since it appears to be sickly sweet, but it is not. With a really soft, creamy texture, it slowly melts in the mouth.❤️
