Came here for a birthday dinner, you get a free dessert and no singing (good if that’s not your thing). The place was essentially empty. Service was decent, friendly. We had to ask for drink refills (which was immediately remedied) and empty plate stacks were left on our table after the course (but removed before we left after dessert).
Food was mediocre, it’s as if seasoning was an afterthought.
Boudin balls were nice and crispy on the outside but that was where the good stopped. The inside was mushy, like it was undercooked. The rice and boudin were indistinguishable… like if you were eating mashed potato balls. It did not have great flavor standalone, and the stone ground mustard completely overpowers it.
Shrimp and grits was served in a bath of unseasoned butter, it did not add to the already bland cheese grits and the mess that was the shrimp and peppers (not fresh) topping on top. The shrimp was cooked well. The only part of the dish that had any real flavor is where they sprinkled Cajun seasoning on top.
Bread pudding had a decent consistency. Again, all the flavors were superficial in the toppings and sauces so the outside layer was good, but the inside tasted just like damp bread with a hint of sweetness. Beignets were just fried dough (not even as good as Chinese restaurant ones that come from a can) no airy center, no fluffy goodness.

I was seated immediately upon my arrival at the restaurant! Both Savannah Alex and were extremely pleasant! Savanna was very helpful with entree suggestions.
My meal was so good! Perfectly seasoned and extremely tasty! I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the Red Fish Rockefeller with extra jalapenos.

We had an amazing experience at Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill! Everything was absolutely delicious, right down to the sweet tea. The customer service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was flavorful and authentic, giving us that true Cajun New Orleans vibe that made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

We loved it so much that we went back the very next day to try more from the menu. The crab claws were incredibly fresh and full of flavor—definitely a must-try! If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a vibrant atmosphere, Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill is the place to be. Highly recommend

Called before I drove over and was told kitchen would close at 8:30pm.
My wife and I arrived at 8:19pm and was dodged for at least 3 minutes. When the server finally came to our table she told us that they had already closed the kitchen.
Needless to say we went and spent our money with Bauhamers where they welcomed our money.
Buyer beware just because they tell you something over the phone doesn’t mean they will keep their word when you show up. = LIAR

The food was really good! Just a tad warning to those from Louisiana, the food isnt full of the Cajun Spice your looking for. Besides that the service was great the atmosphere is great as well. Just slightly disappointed in the seasoning of dishes but for a resturant thats not physically in Louisiana its understandable that it is lacking.

We stopped in for a girls’ day out and had Emily as our server—she was awesome! Super friendly, easygoing, and just had a great vibe. She made us feel right at home and was on top of everything without being too much. Gave us some solid food and drink recs (which were all ), and just added to the fun, laid-back feel of the day. Honestly, she made the whole experience even better. If you’re heading in with friends, definitely hope you get Emily!

The seafood dip is to die for. Its AMAZING! However, I am originally from Louisiana and lived 30 miles from New Orleans and was VERY DISSAPIONTED in the Po boys. We ordered a Shrimp Po boy to share. When it came the Po boy was barely 6″ long to say the least! If you order a
Po boy at home and you mention your going to share, you get a 12″ Po boy!! And, the price for that 6″ which was about $17.00, was the same price I pd in Louisiana for a whole po boy. I was shocked!!!! We actually had a 2 1/2 ” sandwich. I will never order that again there. The new owners should be
ashamed of themselves. That just might be the reason their business is not doing as well. I remember when you would have to wait for a table. The day we went we were the only ones in there. Come on owners you can do better then that!! Your restaurant represents Louisiana and our great Cajun food and your food and prices don’t even come close. Please do better. I always loved eating there!

Based on reviews, I had hope that itd at least be decent. I know good cajun food in tn is hard to get, but this was awful. I got the chicken and sausage gumbo and it was so plain it tasted like chicken soup lol. I also got the shrimp boil with sausage and cajun butter. I was immediately disappointed when they sat down a plate of plain steamed shrimp, 2 red potatoes, and overcooked corn that was NOT boiled in any seasoning. I soaked everything in cajun butter(which cost $3 extra) and Tony’s and that did not fix anything. The sausage(another $3 upcharge) I almost gagged on it was so gross. I ordered a Louisiana purchase mixed drink that was less than 6oz but cost 12.50 and definitely wasnt worth it. My wife doesnt eat cajun so she ordered a plain burger with bacon and cheese with fries. The bacon and cheese was an upcharge making it $15. The burger was ok, but it tasted like a concession stand burger.

Our waitress was good but the other waitress was asking what i assume is the owner or manager to wipe down a table and he commented on how messy they were lol There were also cockroaches crawling on the floor. I’m normally like a fat kid in a candy store with cajun food but I couldnt force myself to eat anymore. The dog got the burger, I didnt even want to feed her the sausage. $67 before tip for food that I’m pretty sure will give me food poisoning definitely dont recommend lol
