I finally took the time and drove 3 to 4 miles off the interstate and it was well worth it…. Chef Mike thank you for a meal worth stopping for. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant was clean the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the food. Chef Mike came by and introduced himself and gave me a bowl of white beans to try and like everything else I had was great. I will definitely be back and suggest your restaurant to anyone headed down your way!

Some truly great Cajun cooking from someone who knows the heritage. We found Mike‘s kitchen via Yelp and decided to give it a try-we’re sure glad that we did. My wife (who doesn’t like seafood) and sons split a meatball Po Boy which looked amazing, and they verified was. I had a crawfish pasta with breaded catfish – it was excellent! We spurged and got some appetizers, all of which were excellent. Portions are large and feed you until you’re full – or past full in my case! Great service and it was nice to hear from Mike to came to our table and greeted us as we are.

Nice little hole-in-wall a mile or so off the interstate. Appreciate that Mike came out to introduce himself and talk with us a bit. This was s first-time visit for us and if we ever get back down that way we will definitely make a point to visit again. Food was Cajun-authentic and very good.

We had a great experience dining at Cajun mikes! The atmosphere is clean and Cajun music is playing, staff is super friendly, food was delicious! We even met Cajun Mike! He was going table to table talking to everyone and making sure everything was perfect. We will definitely go back! We even got a pic and an autographed menu. Too fun!

This restaurant is one that is a must stop. Why go into NOLA on a road trip and deal with all the traffic when you can stop here for some great cajun food. Forgot to take a before picture because the food was so good. The crabcakes was still crispy even with the sauce on top. Thanks again. Will make sure to stop by when I’m in that area.

We stopped by Cajun Mike’s on our way up to New York from Texas, and it was probably the best decision we made during the whole road trip. This no-frills eatery offers hearty and delicious cajun fare at great prices. The food was so good, and Mike himself came out and talked with us, explaining some of the history behind his amazing cuisine. I would definitely visit here again.

Delicious! The $11 lunch special was red beans and rice with a perfect fried catfish filet on top. I would definitely recommend the chicken and andouille gumbo as well. True Cajun cuisine. The prices are a bit high on the menu but well worth it. You get what you pay for. Mike came out and greeted us and it just makes you love living in Louisiana! Will return very soon!

Huge portions of real southern cooking. If you like seafood then basically anything on the menu will appeal to you (they have non-seafood entree’s also). Had a question about the white sauce used and the chef personally came to the table and told us how he made the deliciousness… If you get within driving distance of this place it is a must eat!!!!
