New Orleans-style mini-chain serving cornbread & spicy standards in a bustling, no-frills setting.

We loved this place! Delicious flavors that were on par with the best Cajun Restaurants in New Orleans. The atmosphere even reminded me of the New Orleans a bit too. I got the shrimp and grits andouille- the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked, and it went well with the soft scrambled eggs I chose with it. The Beignets I wasn’t crazy about, but our main dishes more than made up for it. I look forward to trying the other dishes here!

Cajun restaurant with very generous serving portions, a large selection of breakfast items, and a super nice service staff.
The back side patio was shady, cool, and welcoming to folks with dogs.

Food was ok. I got the California Style Eggs Benedict, as did my friend, and another friend got the fried chicken one, which comes on a biscuit. All of our eggs were more soft boiled than the typical runny Benedict eggs.
I am not sure how they did it but the hollandaise sauce was sweet, sour, snd spicy. It was ok.
The coffee was great, as was the service, they kept my coffee and water cups full.
It was a little on the loudside, sitting in the main dinning room, they also have a side room near bathrooms, and a patio (which I did not see) With a sign that says the patio is dog friendly.

I went on a Saturday morning with a friend, our server Breca (I hope I spelled it right) was amazing! Excellent service! We both ending up getting the same dish.. Crab-cake Benedict, which was wonderful (well portioned, fresh ingredients and cooked right –not dried out like other places)!
Would definitely recommend, and if your lucky Breca will be working❤️!

Pretty good Cajun food for the West Coast. I appreciate that they have Tony Chachere’s on the table. The grits have a mild sweetness to them. The crab cake bene was well made and the portions of the other entrées were pretty generous, though not so much to be wasteful. The service was excellent; friendly and attentive. As a Central Gulf Coaster I approve.

I had unrealistically high expectations of Cajun Kitchen Cafe. And was severely disappointed. The ambience was moderately cute enough. Mind you, I’ve tasted authentic cajun cuisine of the proud people where the saints go marching in. As a patron of this Cajun Kitchen Cafe, I wanted to go marching out, and I want my Sunday morning back. From the start, I wanted Cafe Au Lait. Did they serve it? Unfortunately, the answer is nay. I settled for H2O and scanned the menu. And to my dismay, I saw what looked to be regular food with a few select items of Cajun-ness. We ordered the beignets, which were hidden in the upper corners of the menu not on proud display. Something felt off, yet we ordered them and asked them to be brought out at the end. Because it’s dessert at the end of the breakfast. Instead they came out before our food. We sent it back. The waiter came back with our order and lo and behold the same exact beignets. They were covered in powdered sugar. Hmm, okay. That seems pretty standard. However, much to our chagrin, the “beignets” were puffy french toast things that seemed like something you could get from Costco and microwave. The meal itself we got the Ventura Red Fish. It was flavored with blackened Cajun-ness. And bared an uncanny resemblance to run-of-the-mill tilapia, which you can also find in the frozen food section of Costco. Our eggs were pretty basic which we enhanced by adding the flavor that was available on the table. Everything else was pretty “mid” at best. Sorry, CKC. Not for me. Not for those in my party. Sorry.

I miss the servers before this group.
The restaurant was half empty.
Had to wait 10 minutes to order our food.
I asked for a refill on coffee and was ignored.
20 minutes later got my coffe.
The guy serving water and coffee had a go to hell demeanor.
Not a very conscience service today.
Extreme disappointment at a place that has good food but terrible service this time.
I pray the old service return.

Would be 5 for atmosphere but the back room is lack luster, zero windows so I wish we could have joined 2 tables out front for our party of 6. But the food was great, the service just as wonderful. I’ve never been here and was extremely satisfied and happy with our brunch visit!

Outstanding service, great food, dog friendly!
The green chilaquiles (there is also a red version), reminded me of the traditional home style Mexican dish but with a delicious New Orleans, Cajun flavor twist of spicy from the hot sausage. The dish comes with sour cream and freshly cut avocado, for those who enjoy mixing for a more tame kick of spice. But really, it was the hot sausage containing most of the heat. The portion is perfect, not too too much and too little. Very fair price ($16) for the dish (and for the rest of the menu items). Rica and Ramón were very attentive and friendly, frequently asking if we needed anything.
The patio was clean and comfortable. Perfect since we had our little Lola accompanying us for lunch.
My friend ordered guevos rancheros and said they were hearty, flavorful and overall, very good.
Highly recommend this place!!
