burger & fries were good by the atmosphere is not the move at all. There is zero music so it’s so awkward. Even just a radio set to a country station would be better than this. Ate for lunch while passing through. We got the Fried Crawfish Platter, Boudin Balls, Boiled Shrimp Platter, and Brownies. They lack servers, we were the only customers, and it was really quiet. Food has potential, but the prices are a little steep. From a year ago prices on the seafood have gone up by A LOT.

I have always had really good luck getting our fill of crawfish but yesterday not so much. They were small,very muddy ,and grit between your teeth. They also were mushy and very hard to get out. So mushy they wouldn’t come out. Most went in the trash buckets some even tasted old. Will do MVP in Jasper they have consistently been big and really clean/fresh. Sorry Joe rest in peace but got to call it like it is. The new French fry seasoning is good.

The fries are real potato fries and the burgers real patties not frozen premade & all on a sourdough bun. it cant get any better then that. The staff was friendly & service was great! If you don’t stop here when in Newton your missing out.

The ambiance is very nice and mom&pop like. The wait time was a bit lengthy but the staff was very friendly and the food was hot hot hot. I got the gumbo and the only thing I was expecting was a bit more spices in it but it tasted very very good with what they used in it.
