Service and fish was Amazing!!! Air was not working very well at all. It was too hot to finish eating so we got To Go Plates! They have a new air conditioner but haven’t hooked it up yet. Again the Fish was SUPER!!! My pieces were very small and my husband’s pieces were huge! They do need to clean the salt and pepper shakers they are sticky. Will be back for more of that amazing Fish!!!

Location: about five minutes from the interstate. nothing surrounds it. Looks like two double-wides put together attached to a small house. Do NOT judge the food based on appearance. Or do, because you’d except momma’s cooking from here.
Food:
I ordered the Cajun express. Essentially a sampler of catfish, shrimp, boiled and fried crawfish, red beans and rice, effoute, momma’s pie, hush puppies, and jumbo. It was a great sampler plate since I live eight hours away. Heavy on the cajun seasoning, it was fresh, hot, and a hell of an experience. I loved what I ordered and could easily feed two people.
husband ordered the ribeye + potato. He doesn’t eat seafood and this was about the only option available to him besides a pork ribeye. The meat quality, seasoning, and taste were decent. 1/3 of the steak was fat, expected for a ribeye.
We purchased a piece of strawberry cake to go; delightful! We were too full to eat it there.
Atmosphere: think of the family reunion. This is a mom and pop run restaurant; everyone was kind, attentive, professional, and fun.
Service: they were SLAMMED. we spent about 45 minutes waiting to order at the table, and an additional 30 minutes on our food. Be patient with them. The experience is grand but they are only open Saturday and Sunday, and everyone comes to EAT. While we waited for our food they gave us gumbo to try. We were asked if we wanted refills about 20+ times, no exaggeration. You won’t leave thirsty or hungry.
I can’t wait to take my family here some day. It’s a hole-in-the-wall joint built around quality food and a comforting atmosphere.
Cleanliness: this place needs a deep clean, but you don’t come here for that. Again, you come to EAT.

Gumbo was delicious. Crawfish was amazing. My husband made me throw mines away and I have been mad at that since. I really want to call up and have them overnight more. Very nice people. I was the only person of color and I was welcomed.

The owners here are very kind and generous and the food is phenomenal! I am a truck driver and I was driving a brand new school bus to deliver from factory in NC to customer in CA. I broke down in their parking lot and they were so kind and invited me inside and gave me a delicious meal for free! I had their fried catfish, fried shrimp and hush puppies. The food was so flavorful and the fish was so tender it just melts in your mouth! If you ever have the opportunity to visit and eat here you will not be disappointed! Thank you again for feeding me and allowing me a safe place to wait for a tow truck!

The best catering with fried fish that I have ever had. They just catered our Robinson Family Reunion in Memphis in 2019 and it was 5 stars. The food was fresh and hot and the service was excellent. They will come to wherever you are and they provide everything from the sweet tea and lemonade to the utensils and the sides. Way to go to Robin and the entire staff at Cajun Express.

This place is a dump. The floors are rotten the ceiling is falling in. We ordered two steaks medium rare they were well done. Just all around a bad experience. Will never be back. Definitely not what it used to be. AND THE CRAWFISH SUCKED.

The ribeye was awesome, good seasoning but didn’t overpower the meat. The batter for the frog legs and shrimp was the best part to me. The service was very quick and they were on it. Definitely recommend people try this place. Also they serve gumbo when you sit down that packs alot of flavor into it .

Tonight my wife Michelle and I tried Cajun Express for the first time. The gumbo was excellent! We had for our appetizers cheesy crawfish bread and crawfish pie. Two great choices. We ordered the ribeye steaks cooked medium, with baked potato and salad. I had shrimp with mine. The cook Will redefined in my opinion how a steak should be cooked. It was very tender and well seasoned. I could not even finish mine (a first). My wife had for dessert a dish with chocolate cake, ice cream, caramel and chocolate syrup on top. . It was decadent. The coffee I had was very good. A perfect finish to a perfect meal. The servers were very attentive and very professional. I strongly recommend this place and giving it 5 stars does not give this place justice.
