I came here through a recommendation from a friend that talked highly about the place. I was somewhat disappointed as whatever she raved about seemed non-existent. She recommended it for the awesome cocktails and the exquisite vegan cuisine. When I dined there they had very basic vegan dishes that were not worth the price. Such as sandwiches and tater tots. The menu was also not exclusively vegan or vegetarian. Not that this matters as I am neither, but I am always up for trying different food especially when it was so highly recommended. The cocktails were also basic and nothing special. First I thought my friend just had a bad taste, but then I found out that they changed their menu and that the food is not that great anymore.

Beelman’s isn’t your usual “wings and beer at the bar” – though the exotic spiced wings and craft beer selection are fantastic, too. It’s the eclectic menu of vegan/vegetarian and fresh real fish, chicken and meat dishes, quite the interesting cocktail recipe and wine selection plus bartenders who know their customers, the neighborhood and just what’s good!

Really fantastic bar downtown with tons of vegan (and non-vegan) options. There is a really great outdoor patio in the front, as well as seating inside. The vibe was very chill, and casual. Ordering at the window was a bit difficult due to noise levels, but it was also fun and different.
The sheer number of vegan options got me in the door, and the food did not disappoint! Options range from burgers to tacos to bowls, with mock meat options as well as tofu and bean options. Super tasty, very much enjoyed. Great craft beers on offer as well, and some yummy sounding cocktails I will definitely try next time. Gluten free options are also clearly listed on the menu.

Favorite bar at the moment. Self seating. Order at the bar. Bartenders are always cool. The Vibes be immaculate. Vegan items are amazing. Potato taquitos are a hit. Buddha bowl is fire. Angry burrito is great and even better the morning after somehow. Changing drink specials. Get the LA Handshake and have yourself a great night.

*VEGAN MENU REVIEW* Sports bar atmosphere (flat screens mounted all around). Tasty drinks (recommend Hemingway mule and Indigo island). Large vegan food selection. The notables were the Potato taquitos and Tacos. Can’t go wrong with Buffalo cauliflower either! The wings were flavored and cooked well but beware of “texture” ( vegans iykyk). Totchos and Angry Vegan Burrito were good but taste exactly the same (soyrizo forward!). With all that said I would definitely return for drinks and apps!

So, we came here on the spur as a possibility for a good vegan experience. It’s rare to get vegan food that blows you away – and rarer doing so with exceptional pub grub. They have meat options as well. Go for the tacos – stay for the beer, ambiance, and casual but professional service. Top Notch.

Inventive burgers! They have a fun variety of inventive burgers on the menu. We tried the impossible and thought it was not bad, not extraordinary either. It’s kinda plain but good if you’re planning to drink. They have a nice looking bar inside and the seating outside has a nice vibe. Service is not excellent, you go and order on the window and they don’t come to check on you but ok. Food arrived super quick, I don’t think it took them like 10 mins, so that was a great plus. Overall, it’s an interesting concept and menu. Good location as well.

The burger was overpriced, 20 dollars for a regular burger. I only had tap water. I think you pay for the location, downtown.

If you’re looking for a bar that serves vegan food, this is the spot. TV’s on the wall, music blasting through the speakers, dim lighting, high tables, booth against the walls, security at the front door, and good-tasting food. Great hang-out spot for a friend’s meet-up, but not so much for young children.
