Right in the French Quarter but feels local. The gumbo has a dark, rich roux that takes hours to make. Jambalaya is spicy and packed with andouille. Live, low-key jazz on weekends. The beignets for dessert are pillowy and hot. A delicious escape from the Bourbon Street chaos.

Glad I found this place. Gumbo was seasoned perfect. Just needed more rice. Had that real cajun kick. Crablegs were big and very flavorful. I mean real huge. One cluster will fill you up. Finally the pig feet were the best I’ve had so far. Very spicy. Had my lips burning but I didn’t mind. I will be returning. Lady at counter was super friendly. A lil pricey but I didn’t mind.

I was at the Saints game, and their menu prompts “Chicken Cracklin” but when I ordered it the lady told me it’s upstairs. (I was seated in section 130) So I went upstairs and they also said they didn’t have it either. Don’t have something on the menu if it’s not going to be at every stand.
