One of my favorite breakfast spots! Cahill Diner is a small, cozy place that consistently delivers amazing food and friendly service. The pancakes have that perfect buttermilk flavor — fluffy and rich without being too sweet. The chicken fried steak is one of the best I’ve had, with meaty gravy and hash browns cooked to perfection.

My boyfriend tried the Cajun breakfast with andouille sausage, and it was fantastic! Great spice balance — flavorful and a little kick, but not overwhelming. The sausage was sliced thin and cooked perfectly.

The staff really make this place special. When we visited, the diner was packed and they had a ton of online orders, but the auntie-and-niece duo working the floor handled everything like pros. They even dealt gracefully with a rude delivery driver who came in blasting music — stayed polite but firm, keeping the atmosphere comfortable for everyone.

Even with all the chaos, the cooks and servers kept things running smoothly and served up hot, delicious plates without missing a beat. It’s easy to see why Cahill Diner has such a loyal following — great food, great people, and a real hometown diner feel. Highly recommend!

Had breakfast on Christmas day and was blown away by not only the food but the staff as well! The pulled pork hash was so satisfying and tender, the sourdough bread was thick and crispy, their homemade jam was sweet and smooth and the staff were so kind even with being swamped on a holiday!
It was a long wait and that’s to be expected and understood considering how packed it was and the afformentioned holiday.

Come here if you want amazing food and service

Located in a strip mall in the heart of Inver Grove. Personally I thought it was kind of a small space and was a little cramped, but you can seat yourself at a table, in a booth or at the breakfast bar. The service was decent and our food was out to us very fast which was the highlight and the quality was good overall. While it does overall have a 50’s vibe atmosphere, I feel like there was kind of a half-effort put into the decorating (and maybe I’m being a little nitpicky here). I hoped maybe there would have been different lighting, maybe an old jukebox and some more memorabilia, however with the limited space, I can understand why they don’t have more of those things.

Overall not the best establishment for the type of themed restaurant, however I would recommend dining here.

We went here for the 1st time and it was great! Our waiter (Ahmed) was great. He was friendly and attentive but not annoying. Service was on point and the food was tasty. This place has definitely become a place we will be frequenting regularly.

The Sweet Moody with over easy eggs and turkey bacon was pretty good. The eggs were done correctly and the French toast was nice and thick. It could have had more cinnamon but was still pretty good and something I would order again. The Hot and Spicy Bowl was also good. It had a good amount of heat and came out with the cheese nice and melty. The portions were good. Prices were reasonable. I do wish the place was bigger. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

I have been in love with Zoe’s Diner since I first visited one with a very dear friend many years ago for a breakfast that will forever be cemented in my memories. The atmosphere has a touch of magic, a charm that makes its way into the meal, the conversations, the connection between all those blessed to share the space.

I visited Cahill Diner with my partner and their siblings, grateful for time with loved ones and eager to experience a new diner. I did not know it was part of, or the original root of, the Ze’s chain, and was delighted to learn so!

The food here is superb, portions filling and quality high. I had the Cajun Breakfast, and it did not disappoint, each bite pleasing to all of my senses and the final forkful sufficiently topping off my appetite and leaving me with a lasting fullness, both in my stomach and my heart.

How grateful I am to be able to experience such wonders and the tiny moments with people who I care for, at places such as this where the love flows freely.

Found this place randomly while visiting the cities. It was so good the first day, me and my boyfriend went the next day again.
On the first day, I got their Chicken & Waffles. It was so delicious! It comes with gravy that tasted incredible on top of everything. I ordered a side of bacon, which was also good.

On the second day, I ordered the Tater Tot Bowl. It was again, a total hit! So delicious and definitely different to any other place I’ve been. My boyfriend tried the Tex Mex, which was basically a breakfast burrito. It was huge! Biggest wrap/burrito I’ve ever seen.

The place is decorated like a 50s style diner which I always enjoy! Overall, great place and next time I’m in the area, I will for sure stop here again!

Ordered pickup this morning and food was not at all what we ordered or expected. Steak was for sure medium when ordered rare, hash browns were bland and not extra crispy as ordered, burrito did not come with extra cheese as ordered also did not come with hollandaise sauce as it is supposed. Last time ordering from here.

It’s a Mom Pop type of place. These type of places have a special place in my culinary expeditions. So how was this one?… it was clean, service was not to die for but adequate. We had breakfast there, The food was ok, I can understand bland, but the country steak tasted like it was breaded to death. Sourdough bread was pretty much white bread as you can see in the pic. When asked, “that is the sourdough..” Surprise!!!! Even the coffee was better at the vet that we visited before. So generally speaking, food was not great. And specially for the price, I read some previous reviews and I agree. The prices are high for mediocre food and service. I don’t mind paying higher prices but one has to get similar returns.
I don’t mean to put em down, they definitely have what it takes. It’s simple really, we go to the Mom and Pops to get their hardy breakfast that have element of home cooked meal, greasy guilty pleasures that we miss from older times, dark strong roasted coffee that we admire so much, and can’t forget the Mom Pop hospitality that we have come expect from these places. So, they do need to dig a bit deeper, and the potential is there. But as of this writing they do have a bit to go.

My server was so attentive and kind she made the experience great, it’s a quaint hole in the wall restaurant with very homely food, I loved my French toast and my sister loved her steak breakfast. She can’t wait to come back and try the Philly cheese omlet. The bacon was great too. One thing I didn’t appreciate was there was a very loud banging that was constantly going on the entire time we ate. Not many will have the tolerance for that so I hope it was a one off experience. Great service and food!

This place has great breakfast food at very reasonable prices.

I usually order their country-fried steak and eggs, and it always comes out hot and crispy. They are generous with their sausage gravy as well. They allow me to substitute the toast for a biscuit, which is a big plus for me.

The service is prompt, polite, and friendly. I can always count on the staff for frequent water refills and coffee heat-ups.

All in all, I have no complaints about the Cahill Diner. It delivers a 50’s-esque diner experience with great food at decent prices. It’s my go-to when I’m craving an American-style breakfast.
