Social Profile:

Caffe Nonna is the result of over 100 years of rustic Italian recipes and rural cooking techniques. Chef Dan’s grandmother, ‘Nonna’ Esther Carapella, developed her family recipes in the Abruzzi region of Italy during the 1920s while raising her family. These recipes were imported to the United States by her family over the next 50 years. Her grandson, Chef Daniel Maggipinto, opened Caffe Nonna in honor of classic recipes and her favorite saying To eat well is to live well!.

Simple Italian dishes & lunch specials served in an intimate dining room with rustic decor.

This may have been the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The staff was so incredibly friendly, and the owner, Will, made every diner feel like they were the most important person in the room. The food was incredible and very authentic. 10/10 recommend! I only wish I lived in this city so I could come here all the time.

Phenomenal! My best friend and i did an afternoon of just us as we ran to a used book store, then to a world market for new fruits to try, when we got hungry. She is Italian (Sicilian) and I lived in Italy (La Maddalena/Sardinia) so we tend to try Italian restaurants to find the authenticity. It’s been hard! But tonight we both left pretty speechless. Not only were the flavors of all the dishes incredible, but the atmosphere brought the nostalgia. The patio seating, the dark room and loud joyful conversations. The staff and the owner, speaking with us like we are new friends and our experience really mattered. The taste of the wine and the simple menu were top notch and stunning! I left fighting tears. It was beautifully done and we went there on a whim!

We had a great time at this place. We got there right at open and met Will the owner who seated us and gave a a great menu run down. The menu isn’t extensive which is a pleasant surprise. They know what they do good and the deliver. They do have a very nice build you own dish option for those looks for their own favorites.
They did have a mistake on our appetizer but they remade it and comped us the appetizer.

Only 4 stars on food as they didn’t have any published NA drink selection or cocktails. But our server had the bar make some lovely drinks for us.

Wanted to visit Caffe Nonna due to it being on Diners, drive-ins and dives, and it was pretty good. Wine and the homemade focaccia bread was delicious. The arancini was okay so I would try something different for appetizer next time. I ordered the lasagna nonna and the flavor was amazing. Definitely recommend!! My husband ordered the lamb shank and while the portion could feed a village, the flavor wasn’t there. It was pretty bland. To sum things up, I really like this place and would want to try other things on the menu but definitely recommend the lasagna nonna and maybe add some meat to it.

Love this little Italian restaurant in the heart of solvent Park. Will was incredible. Everyone there is so nice. They always have a special which we tried tonight and it was delish. I typically get the seafood Angeline and you have to start out with the muscles.
They serve a really good Campari spritz which is my favorite.
Definitely give this place a try, you’ll love it.

I recently decided to try your Italian restaurant after seeing it recommended by Guy Fieri and hearing great things from others. I’m happy to say it truly lived up to the praise!

From the moment I walked in, the experience was fantastic. The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which really set the tone for the evening. The food was outstanding—some of the best Italian I’ve had. The calamari was exceptional, possibly the best I’ve had so far. The veggie lasagna was a perfect 10/10, and the meatballs were equally impressive.

Customer service was also top-notch—definitely a 10/10. Thank you for a memorable dining experience. I’ll absolutely be recommending your restaurant and look forward to coming back soon.

Stellar place for a comfortable Italian date night! Will, the owner, gave us a warm welcome immediately upon entering & warmly checked on us sporadically throughout our stay. Emily, our server, was kind, attentive, and helpful. The Rocket salad, Lasagna Nonna, & Short Rib Ragu were 10/10 (and I’m a NJ/NY native, the land of American pasta & pizza). The fantastic tiramisu topped off the excellent culinary experience for my lady & me. We will surely be back. Cheers to Caffe Nonna! Go and enjoy!

Went here for dinner while visiting friends, and we were very impressed by the food. We sat inside. The seating is a little tight but comfortable and cozy given the space. The menú is not huge, which is refreshing, and the “mix and match” allowed for many great possibilities for creating your own pasta dish. The sun dried tomatoe sauce with meatballs, and ricotta was delicious. The lasagna was tasty but could use just a tough more sauce. Overall the food was very good and I would recommend going if you have not been. The service started out well, but getting the check at the end took a bit too long. That in no way ruined the experience overall, and we would definitely come back.

I saw the recording from Guy fieri when he visited this place and it seems like a really good place and how they prepare their food. I went there and ordered the lasagna Nola with Italian sausage and it was prepared fantastically. It had good flavor and it was cheesy and well seasoned. The sauce was not to zesty or spicy and it was not running at all. You can tell that the sauce was made homemade and not out of a jar. At the end of the meal I ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was prepared perfectly. I strongly suggest you give this place a try because the food was fantastic the service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
