Childhood friends Alessandro Ercoli, Gianpietro Silardi, and Lino Savoia opened this typical Italian restaurant back in 1990. Lino left in 1998 circa to pursue his own restaurant. Gianpietro retired in 2022 and a new partnership was formed. Continuing the adventure with Alex are Riccardo Menichetti from Tuscany, a long-time friend with a strong passion for food and cooking, and Teri Ercoli (Alex’s wife). Caffe’ Delfini has become synonymous with romance. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that transports you to the cobblestone streets of Rome, and soft music fills the air, adding to the intimate ambiance that permeates the restaurant. The menu is a culinary journey through Italy.

Bless this place for being close to Ginger Rogers Beach and allowing us to dine here severely underdressed in our tank tops and swim shorts! Service was really friendly and welcoming and we were happy to dine here after a long day at the beach. It’s a nice and cozy establishment that serves freshly made pastas with a hearty touch. My favorite pasta was the Squid Ink that had pieces of squid and shrimp. The Eggplant Appetizers was delish too!!

A true hidden gem in the Rustic Canyon area of Santa Monica close to the Malibu border. Absolutely delicious homemade Italian food with a great menu selection inside a quaint house type of setting. Tonight we dined inside, but they have outdoor seating right on the street as well which allows you to actually see the Pacific Ocean. Parking can be tricky in this area but we were able to find street parking a few blocks away but they do offer valet if needed. The tables are very close together so a private or intimate conversation may be, and was for us, difficult at times, but still the food alone is worth a visit.

I’ll start with the deep appreciation for the delish gluten-free options–not always easy to find–and the excellent Italian cuisine. The ambiance is relatively quiet and a welcome reprieve from the overly amped LA restaurant scene (though there’s a time and place for that too). Delifini has welcoming hosts and servers who make for an overall great evening. Perfetto!

AMAZING FOOD!!! A MUST TRY hidden gem between Santa Monica and Venice. Traditional italian food the burrata and mozzarella were extremly fresh and the pasta and veal are very tasty with generous portions and you can tell everything is made and presented with passion cooking. The owner Riccardo was very nice introducing himself to all the tables and all the service was impecabble. Cant wait to go back, thank you !!!
