We are new to the Cape Coral, Florida area and were searching for an authentic Cuban restaurant in Cape Coral, and we are so glad we found this place. This is hands down one of the best Cuban restaurants in Cape Coral. I ordered the steak with rice and beans, and it was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. My wife had the Cuban sandwich, which was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious.

Our kids ordered the pizza, and surprisingly it was some of the best pizza in Cape Coral as well. We also tried the natural fruit milkshakes, which were fresh, creamy, and tasted homemade.

The customer service was excellent, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. You can truly feel the family-owned, mom and pop restaurant atmosphere here. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban food, great service, and a welcoming local spot in South Cape Coral, this is the place to go.

We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Cuban food near me, family-friendly restaurants in Cape Coral, or a hidden local gem.

It was a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and authentic. My wife had a small Cuban pizza and I had a Cuban sandwich and some avocado the owner grows himself. The place was spotless as well. We we’re visiting the from Cleveland and wanted some authentic Cuban food. We will definitely be going back.

The people who work there are very friendly they even gave my son some candy without me asking. The Cuban sandwich was excellent, and the guava pastry and coffee were just as good. I also bought a Cuban cigar, which was very authentic and full of flavor.

I decided to stop in at the spur of a moment for an afternoon treat of colada and a pastry. I ended up trying the flan as well. This is a very kind family from Cuba.

Great little Cuban bakery in downtown Cape Coral. Their vibe is welcoming, lots of places to sit inside and out. Food was great, we had pizza, shakes and pastries. Come to find out they are under new ownership, and are making lots of positive changes. They said they are trying to be open for breakfast sometime soon. #SUPPORTLOCAL

Note: The last picture of the steak sanwish posted is from Azucar and actually represent what anyone with knowdledge of what a cuban steak sanwish (pan con bistek) would expect to get. This picture is for you guys to compare with the previous pictures here from the El chocolate… we end up wasting over $60 including tips and ending up buying a 2nd order from El Azucar on Del Prado Blvd.

Comment: the place looks dirty and you can see a lack of maintenance everywhere you look, we bought two steaks sanwiches (pan con bistek) a “cuban style burger” (frita Cubana) an a mid night sanwish (media noche) all of them looks like if they have been recicled from returned orders or they have been in the fridge for months, we order to carry on and did not realize how bad they were until later on… we couldn’t eat anything, we ended up going somewhere else and put the whole order into our garbage can. we did drink “chocolate shakes” on site it was not ice cream and have a lot of sugar and ice, maybe they put a tablespoon of icecream for flavor but pretty sure it was mostly powder mixture and maybe some milk… who knows, the previous visit we aet cuban pizza and was not very good either quality has gone down hill from our first time, this was our last time going to this place prices are close to what you would expect from rustic pelicans but qulity is worse than walm.art chicken…. if they target to give you a real cuban gastronomic experience they should have targeted a different cuban gastronomic period because they are closer to especial period cuban gastronomic style than to the real deal… very disepointed still gave 20% tip to weitress because they are no the ones to blame for this bad experience.
the bill was a litle over 50 buks
Pan con bistek (cuban steak sanwish) over $10
Frita cubana (cuban stike burger) over $8
media noche (mid night sanwish) actually this one should not come with pork that would be better for a cuban sanwish but they did sadly put that old smelling and tasting pork also over $8
I really cant understand how a place soo poorly managed like this one can actually stay afloat, I have seen many better quality places gone bankrupt in the blink of an eye… I’ve read here other comments about design and they have some insidefull observations but I kind of liked the style regardless, wish they could take more care of cleanliness and food quality and that will be a game changer, I just doubt they will do anything just from reading the “owners” reaponses to other coments here… perhaps they do not care about us or need us to stay afloat… maybe they have they own loyal repeating customer who have different opinions as you can also see here and is just a few of us who are too demanding… wish you the best…

Great cozy place! Food was amazing!!! I can’t wait to go back to try more foods. We had croquettes and shakes. The mango shake was so tasty with fresh mango. The croquettes were the best. The Cuban pizzas look so good, we just weren’t that hungry, but will definitely be back to try them!

Excellent pizza! Great service too. Keep in mind, Cuban traditional pizzas are super thick, baked in a pan, so essentially a pan pizza, similar to Chicago style pizza. Other excellent tasty menu items as well!
