Loving this new Caribbean spot run by the family behind the beloved food truck Bazodee Street Foods. They’ve got their own place now! The jerk chicken and their rice and peas are off-the-charts good (I could drink that jerk sauce!) And then the owner kindly gave me a piece of the oxtail to try and wow, I’m coming back for that next time! It’s insane! Went on opening day and it was so great seeing so many regulars come out to support and pack the place. Coming back for more of everything and trying the fried plantains next.
5 stars!!!!

Food with flavor! We ordered jerk chicken, pork curry, an empanada and on the way out I saw a delicious looking lemon pound cake. Yep all great. Place just opened so it needs some decorating but the food is delicious. Reasonable prices.

Tried it for the first time today. We split the Philly cheesesteak with no peppers and some Russian dressing. It was super tasty and the meat was really tender! Sometimes steak sandwiches can be really fatty and tough! Not this one! Have been by here a thousand times and been meaning to try it. We live 5 minutes away. Really no reason why. Just kept forgetting. So glad we did! Will definitely be back more often! Come on foodies, support these lovely people!

Came into Cafe 117 to give them a try because they serve Caribbean food and now I’m hooked. They have this brown stew chicken that will have you coming back! Came back another day and they had jerk chicken empanadas which were amazing. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I had an amazing experience at this small Caribbean deli! The jerk chicken sandwich was absolutely fantastic—perfectly spiced and incredibly flavorful. To top it off, the ice cream was deliciously creamy and the perfect ending to a great meal. We got the Mango Lassi and Insta-Graham flavors. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Caribbean flavors!

My husband and I came here for breakfast this AM. We had doubles and coffee. The doubles were yummy and satisfying… the coffee was delicious, freshly made with steamed milk. The menu is a mix of many American favorites, along with Carribean dishes. The store is clean, and the owner and his wife are friendly and hospitable.
This is our new Saturday morning breakfast place…SO SO GOOD! Calling all lovers of Trini food…you must try this place…you’ll be happy you did!

No frills, but this place packs a whole lot of flavor and heart. I left NYC a few years ago and one of my biggest complaints is that there’s not enough unique and flavorful food around here. This place hits the spot!
Generous portions, kind staff and oh so flavorful.

I’ve been a customer of Jason’s since the Bazodee truck was outside the beer store. This guy cooks some AMAZING food. Whether it’s deli staples or some Trini classics, they hit it out of the park every time. They make one of the best burgers around, and he won’t tell me what goes in the seasoning. I’ve never been to Trinidad but I am adventurous with what I eat, and I’ll tell you that the roti is delicious. These are genuinely nice people who cook spectacular food. I’d recommend 100% to go check it out.

Food was great. Tried the jerk chicken and it was on point. Right amount of spice level. Really enjoyed the veggies, rice and plantains that came with the meal.

Excellent portions and full of flavor. Everything I’ve tried so far has been a hit. If you like spicy…the jerk chicken is great. The rice and peas are on the money.
