When I picked up my order I was handed a cup full of chocolate and 3-4 apple slices for the Apple cup dessert.. I paid $12 for this. When I got home and opened my bowl I realized the extra chicken that I paid for was not there and in fact there seemed to be even less chicken and ingredients than usual. The other locations I have ordered from have never had an issue. For the price I pay for the convenience of not cooking I’m not sure this was worth it.

I’ve eaten Cafe Zuppas plenty of times and tonight ordered for delivery. I got same thing I always do. Today they messed up my salad order (even though the ingredients ticket taped to the salad bowl shows the exact ingredients I wanted added/taken off). This includes both wrong ingredients and the wrong dressing. Secondly, the soup cup I received was only a little over halfway filled, which has not been the case in past orders. This would be less of a concern if the soup cup itself wasn’t already tiny. Thirdly, I did not recieve a bread roll with my soup (which is half of the reason I even order a soup) or salads. Lastly, the singular chocolate-covered strawberry I received (even though I ordered 3 meals and therefore should’ve been given 3 strawberries) is also tiny and completely white/unripe beside the chocolate. Given, many of the strawberries I’ve gotten in past orders have been near-rotten and squishy, but this certainly isn’t any better. I can’t help but wonder what the strawberry standard is here, or if there even is one.
In all the times I’ve ordered Cafe Zuppas I’ve never had an issue worthy of reviewing, but somehow 5 separate mistakes were made with my order tonight.
To be clear: I ordered two salads and a soup, meaning I should’ve received 3 rolls and 3 strawberries. Not only did I not receive a single roll, and only received one gross strawberry, but one of those salads was wrong and had the wrong dressing. The amount of soup was sad and unnecessarily insufficient. Considering I can see how they correctly marked wanted/unwanted ingredients in my salad, and the soup/roll/strawberry procedures are the same every time, I have to say- this is a bit ridiculous and disappointing. My order was put in hours before close. I don’t know if you ran out of certain items or if this is an employee’s sloppy work. However, if you run out of certain items you have to let either the customer or the delivery driver know. With delivery, the driver can relay this information to the customer as either a heads up or for the opportunity to take off/swap an item. To recieve wrong and insufficient orders without any reasonable warning is a waste of money and degrades a frequent customer’s trust in and loyalty to an establishment. Had only one of any of these problems occurred with tonight’s order I’d chalk it up to the inevitable occasional mistake. No biggie. But FIVE is just poor customer service. Please do better.

Unfortunately the restaurant environment itself is a bit dirty. The restrooms are unbearable. However I will say this,
Very good food and drinks, and very good customer service. The food was comparable to but tasted better than Panera in my opinion. We ate inside. Pricing was pretty average for 2025. Both of us had a salad and a sandwich with the “Pick 2” combo. That’s the way to go.

We ordered delivery the other day our food was a really disappointing experience. A complete waste of the $40 we spent. We got two sandwiches and both should have had tomato. Each sandwich had ONE very thin slice of roma tomato and that was it. Might as well not have even had it though the pictures showed it tomato heavy. The sandwiches were soggy and had too much mayo. The breadstick that came with mine was dry. The only redeemable food we could eat was the curry soup. Which was around $8 of the $40 we spent. Wish I could get my money back, but there was no feedback or complaint option.

For starters the salad that I ordered had two very big fatty pieces of chicken that were horrible and I had to spit out of my salad. Secondly the 8 oz tomato bisque soup that I asked to be put in a to-go container I didn’t eat there I came home to eat the next day and I decided to measure it because for some reason it just didn’t look like enough soup there’s not even close to 8 oz in there it’s barely measuring 3/4 of a cup they need to make sure that they are in fact giving people the full 8 oz they are charging because prices have gone up and unless they want a class action filed against them they want to make sure they’re giving people what they’re charging them for. I’ve never had such disgusting food at a zupas in my life. This was my sister and i’s place to go for lunch in downtown Boise because that’s close to her work unfortunately we will be finding somewhere else to go and that business will be getting our money. Toodles zupas.

The food was wonderful but the dining area, while not dirty, was being neglected. The trash and dirty dishes were overflowing and no one bussed the tables. The workers were extremely busy but courteous and efficient in getting food orders ready but constant flow of customers was moderately overwhelming. There didn’t appear to be any managers on duty.

Good food, but the strawberries are not washed. I had copious amounts of coarse dirt on my strawberry. Unsanitary and makes me wonder what else they aren’t washing…

I stopped by Cafe Zupas on Broadway today and left pretty disappointed. My salad was drenched in dressing, with barbecue sauce smothered on top of ranch that was already mixed in. It’s supposed to be lightly drizzled, so I’m guessing the recipe wasn’t followed. The rest of the meal was fine, but the real problem was how dirty the place was.
Almost every table was dirty, the floor needed sweeping, and the condiment station was a mess. Forks were nearly gone, the butter was warm and almost empty, and the lids were running low. One of the cakes in the display case looked melted and the strawberries looked like they were going bad.
The thing is, I was the only person eating in at the time. There wasn’t a rush or a line of to-go orders. I saw a few employees hanging out behind the counter instead of wiping tables or restocking. I’ve worked in food service for 20 years and this didn’t look like a staffing problem, it looked like no one was paying attention. If there was a manager on duty, they weren’t managing the floor.
The employees were friendly and the service was fast.

What a great work lunch experience. They have the ability to add names and put each order in it’s own bag. They are friendly and organized. I love the Chipotle Ranch & Honey Cilantro Glaze and the chocolate covered strawberry! Thank you.
