This was a wonderful find last time I stayed in Lincoln on a work trip, so much so I made sure to book the same hotel opposite (white hart) just so it’s close to this restaurant.
It’s a quaint little place and the food is stunning, however I had a slight negative this time with my dessert (cheese board)
I got cheddar, Red Leicester (which looked like it had been sat for a while) and Stilton.
So not really an exciting selection, but it was ok just needs work to make it a better.
If you go try the pan fried salmon it’s beautiful!

Nice comfortable restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. The food was ok but not exceptional. There are better offerings nearby for a similar price.

Great staff in a great location. Top quality food delivered in a cosy and upmarket styled eatery. Family friendly and welcoming. Somewhere I would attend regularly.

Nice atmosphere but the food wasa big disappointment. We stopped for coffee with a cheesecake & creme brulee. The cheesecake was super sweet and the creme brulee had a thick crust of melted sugar which was almost unbreakable with loads of un caramelised sugar beneath.

A fantastic place. Extremely friendly and stylish, this eatery sells a blend of Italian and western courses. The Italian food is the real standout here with a fantastic bolognese and superb prices.
The 2 for meal plan is an excellent option for dining which is around 20/25 at time of writing. Me and my partner ate here and 2 courses with drinks and sides cost us £55 which for a romantic sit down meal is very competitive. Also the portions are very generous! We left feeling stuffed x

Ate here on a Sunday evening. The atmosphere was fairly absent, the place wasn’t busy and the staff were friendly and yet also quite distant. The menu is odd. Eclectic is probably a better word. Cafe Zoot is not an unpleasant place to eat, the food is okay – it won’t win any awards but it isn’t unpleasant. The whole place has an air of not quite knowing what it wants to be.

We happened upon this cafe when we were looking for somewhere to eat. A lady outside recommended it. The staff are really nice, the place is very clean and the food lovely. They cater well for different dietary requirements.

Called on the off chance a table was available Saturday night. Place looked fairly busy but squeezed us in. Very cozy, romantic and welcoming. Great variety on the menu and food was to a high standard. Would recommend and definitely return

Great location near the Cathedral. On the way down we had lunch at Cafe Zoot, small and yet cozy restaurant. I had Moules Mariniere, the best marinated mussels i have ever tasted in my life. It was creamy and so fresh serve with warm bread. Beautiful elegant dish. As main course i had pork belly with crispy skin. The meat was tender, the juice was just perfect laid on the bed of smashed potatoes..amazing taste!!
Service was also good! The restaurant was busy but we did not have to wait long for our food. If you are in this area, please do not hesitate to have lunch or dinner here. Highly recommended.

Went here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend, we spent 30 quid on the both of us, I had some pretty tiny and underwhelming pancakes and my boyfriend had the worst salmon of his life, it was warm and clearly and gone off, he said that it tasted like it was sat out for ages. What’s worse is, since going that one time, we have heard former employ that they reuse left over food from people’s plates and will serve it up on new customers plates, which probably explains the salmon, apparently they also take the old lemons out of people’s glasses, wash them off and put them into new drinks to top it off they apparently have a pretty bad rat problem, wouldn’t recommend this place
