We’ve always loved Cafe Yumm, but we live in Utah, so whenever we visit Oregon we buy a couple jugs of yumm sauce and yumm salsa to tie us over until our next trip. We got home to Utah after keeping them in an ice filled cooler the whole drive home, opened our brand new yumm salsa jar, and there was mold on top!! We couldn’t believe it and we’re so sad and so disappointed. It’s expiration date isn’t until 6/6/26, and there is mold in it. And unfortunately for us we can’t just run back to cafe yumm and get a new one. Normally I would give cafe yumm 5 stars always, but this really was shocking and unacceptable.

The food is consistently fresh and tasty from location to location. The motivation of employees vary from location to location. I noticed an absence of urgency in service while I was waiting for my order. At one point, my order was bagged and ready to go while the cashier and a cook were chatting between the past. Once they were finished with their conversation. I was finally given my order. I was the only customer in the building.

Cafe Yumm is a good place for a relatively healthy quick meal. They have a limited selection, but what they serve is delicious. I’ve only gotten bowls, and they have been quite good.

We love Cafe Yumm. The many changes in this past year or so have impacted our full experience of their food service. We are managing, fairly well. Over and over, however, the chips that come with the yumm and greens have been unbelievably short. Here are photos to show the amount we were given. Typically the bag is 1/2 full.
This does seem to be particular to the Meridian Square location. I don’t know why but we have had enough. The cost hikes have made it difficult to justify.
It’s just chips.

Consistently healthy and delicious. Considering, how expensive everywhere is to eat these days and how poor quality the food is most places this place is actually quite a decent deal price wise considering, the fact that it’s actually healthy and of excellent quality. If you’re dairy free and not a fan of the Yum sauce building your own bowl is the way to go! Make sure to get yourself some pepita’s in there!

I ordered a medium bowl and it was half full. Other Cafe Yumm places are filled all the way up. When I asked about it, I was told it was because I omitted the salsa and cilantro. I said that ingredients don’t take up half of the bowl. Then I was ignored.
Edit: the manager said I could come in for a free bowl but when I did they said they threw the comp out after 2 weeks. It had maybe been 4 weeks since this issue happened and I wish I would have known there was a time limit.

This was my first time at a Cafe Yumm (I guess it’s a chain?). The customer service was outstanding. The girl behind the counter was knowledgeable and understanding of my garlic allergy. She did her best to direct me to a good meal. Based inn customer service, this place would have gotten a 5- star rating.

I rated only a 3-star for a few reasons: most tables were dirty. Working in food service, I understand that after a rush, it might look like a disaster so I was willing to give it the benefit of a doubt. 25 minutes went by south nearly no customers and no one came out to wipe tables. Bus bins were crazy full as well.

That would have landed probably a 4-star rating. While eating my meal, I could overhear the employees discussing the low points of working there (Thats putting it nicely). While I get food service sucks most of the time, bitchin’s for the kitchen (where customers can’t here you).

I’ll probably be back because the food was alright and I’d like to see what the other restaurants in that chain have to offer.

So I’ve been coming to cafe yumm for 30+ years. Food wise I’ll never get tired of it. It is one of my favorite lunch places and I go at least 3-4 times a week. Food always gets 5 star. However this location I’ve gone to several times now, and every single time my large bowl is only 3/4 full. I go to Beaverton usually and Eugene often. The bowls are always filled to over the top and the lid smashes it down so it’s completely 100% full. I’m not the type to review, however I felt I needed to here. I will not be coming back to this location again. Which is a shame because it’s one of the closest to where I live. On top of what I mentioned the price went up on the bowls recently. Which I totally understand. But full the bowls up! A large bowl 3/4 filled does not make me full for $11.50. I couldn’t even guess within $1000 of how many yumm bowls I’ve ate in my life. I grew up down the street from the very first location. I do t like complaining. But this is really unexceptable as Almost all other locations fill the bowl up and give you your moneys worth. Please change this method. Go see what Beaverton is doing. They are the busiest location out of all

Thanks. Again the food is consistently my favorite. I will change my review if this location changes their bowl portion
