My wife took me to this Mediterranean restaurant in South Pasadena nearby her work that she and her friends always go there for lunch. My wife was telling they love including herself she say the food is really good. We came to the restaurant at the right time it was lunch time and they have a lunch special deal. My wife order the falafel plate and I got the chicken kabobs and you pick your sides.
It took about 20 minutes to have our meal ready everything in the restaurant is made from scratch and made to order. My meal comes with chicken kabobs,rice and garlic spread as my side and also including pita bread. The chicken kabobs were very tender and juicy and full of flavor that I really enjoy and the rice was incredible good and fluffy that I really like. The garlic spread was very good I use on the Chicken and the rice it more flavor then I on the pita bread so good. The side was very good. My wife enjoy her falafel very much that’s her favorite she say the falafel have tons of flavors and she give a piece of falafel wow it was so good I enjoy it.
Then she enjoy the hummus including the salad. Being my first time at Cafe X20 the food was incredible food. I told my wife we need to come back again to try different items.

It’s just okay BECAUSE I’ve had much better & considerably larger portions for similar prices in the Glendale area.
The portions are quite skimpy for the price, and most places I go to give garlic paste as a condiment, instead of making you choose it as your side. The kebabs/ lule are juicy, but don’t have that open-grill/flame taste like traditional Armenian or middle eastern preparation style. The sides are a complete joke in my honest opinion. You get maybe 4 forkfuls of salad, and not much of a spread to use. Not much pita bread either.
The boreg is good, but has more of an empanada thicker dough, than the lighter flaky style I’m accustomed to from bakeries.
Overall, the flavors are decent, but the portions are too small for the price being asked

This place just opened and one of my strong suits is identifying good Lebanese or Mediterranean food, well because I am Lebanese.

It was all fantastic authentic and very legit. Very close to the real thing in Lebanon. Maybe because the owner is Lebanese. I asked the guy on the register about it.
The falafel sandwich had the tomatoes like it should to make it juicy and let the juices mix with the tahini sauce. The falafels themselves also had the right consistency and flavor.
The lamb Kebab was great too. Pink on the inside.
The way the sandwiches are wrapped is well thought of as well. Open the wrapper and grab the sandwich and the bottom is already in another wrapper and ready to be eaten. Smart and very Lebanese.
Hummus is big for me and this hummus delivered far and beyond as well as the baba ghannouj.
The prices also were very on point.
Well thought of and affordable.
You bet I will be going there a lot more.
The people working there are friendly and happy to answer questions.

Outstanding Mediterranean food. If I havent mentioned it, I absolutely love meditteran food and rate this location a solid FIVE stars.
I’ve visited a few times thus far and the food quality, service, cleanliness and overall positive atmosphere has been great.
Employees are pleasant and theres a positive feeling inside.

The food was pretty good, though new wary of the olives if you get them. They are not pitted so if you decide to eat a mouthful like I did be warned you will bite down on seeds. You have been warned. The lamb was good though

This is a new branch. Soft opening. Perfect distance to JPL. Food came out hot and fresh! The boregs were also served very hot! Yummy. We looked the sandwiches so much we ordered 4 more to go. We got there place to ourselves and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Must try!

Extremely skimpy on the portions – especially the rice. Guys, it’s dinner time and I want a dinner. Rice is cheap and this portion is less than I’d expect in a lunch bowl at chipotle. Chicken was seasoned and cooked nicely. The Lule kabob was very salty and had a gummy almost sausage like texture. Overall below average kabob spot that could be much better with a few improvements.

Great casual counter service Mediterranean restaurant. Ordered a lamb and chicken kebab plate combo with hummus, spicy lebni and fattoush salad to share and walked out stuffed.
