Drinks, service ,staff, atmosphere and crowd were great. It has a kind of funky atmosphere, if you’re in to that. If you order one drink here, get they greyhound.

Believe the hype! This place is amazing. We had to try a few different types of greyhounds, but I think the classic is the best. This place is just a great, old school bar. I wish they had food but I guess they’re just focusing on the one thing they do best: greyhounds!

Great bar. Certainly an unusual Negroni but I’ll forgive them that, not exactly that kind of spot. Well worth a visit!

You will not find a more Oakland bar than this. Even when its packed the bartenders are kind and chill.

Excellent cocktails in an electric setting. some dudes at the bar invited me to play a game of weapon, helmet, strangest thing based on the assorted knickknacks on the wall. recommend. much flare. very solid crowd great for a date or pre-concert.

One of the oldest bars in Oakland is what I was told, I believe it. Waking in the bar Oat Benatar was playing and one immediately notices all the character of this establishment. If you’re headed to downtown Oakland for a show at the Paramount this is a most stop to enjoy a Grayhound, you will not find a better one anywhere. Just be warned but there is no food but the atmosphere makes it an amazing place to visit, makes me wish I was a local.

Definitely my favorite Oakland bar. It has a divey look and feel which I prefer. There’s a wide variety of people; it’s hard to feel over dressed or under dressed. Went with my wife after a wedding dinner and although it was a bit too hot inside to wear my jacket, felt totally comfortable. Perhaps it was also the live jazz band and awesome greyhounds.

Amazing bar! Awesome vibe. Lots of space inside to chill with a large group. Their speciality is the greyhound. You can see the bartenders constantly juicing fresh grapefruit. No food at all so don’t come hungry.
