I think this place has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of change. I like the place itself, the atmosphere is nice. The food and the service – not so much, mediocre at best. Not much to do with French cuisine, it’s more of an American diner fusion. The dishes had decent presentation, but were not cooked well – on many accounts. The saddest part – even the French omelette was not done well, it was overcooked, which is such a basic thing to make. You expect anyone working in a kitchen to know how to make a French omelette in their sleep, it’s not that hard…
Service was so so, felt more of a bar level. One thing I have to say is that I really don’t like the fact that the server only takes your order and then the buster brings the food. This is not good practice for a reason. There is no good connection to the server. The server is supposed to bring the food, explain what is what and answer any potential questions that might arise.
Again – place can be pretty good probably, but likely needs new management and someone that knows what they are doing.

I am updating this review. The last time we came here was for my wife’s birthday.
She was excited to have dinner since I gave the restaurant such a high review. We were very disappointed. It seemed like we were eating at a different restaurant. Almost every entre we ordered was over salted so much so that all 4 of us complained to each other.
We told the waiter about the problem but nothing was done. I am changing my rating to a 3 because of the inconsistent quality of the product. In order to receive 5 stars the food quality must be consistent.

We were here on a busy Saturday night, and food quality and service were excellent. Our appetizers included a Salade De Lyonaisse, which could have used a little more acid.
We also had Pâté Maison,Steak Tartar,Fromage Chevre Au Fou, mussels, chimicurrri au Boeuf, which was tasty but had to many potatoes and not enough boeuf and the assisted De formage, which could be improved with better crackers.
Our entrees in incuded Bouef Bourguignon,
Duck breast,Ravioli Au Champignon,Idaho brook trout, and, if that wasn’t enough, Banana Foster, all were excellent.
I will definitely return.

Went there yesterday for lunch with my wife and daughter. It was my first time there. Great service, Great atmosphere, and the salads and sandwich we ordered were delicious! Prices are very reasonable for Chicago. If you are in the Rosemont area, this is the perfect lunch spot. We will definitely be back again.

This is one of the very best restaurants in this entire area. It’s chic yet classic in style and delivers amazing food (and wine) for not a crazy price. I went with my mom for lunch today and we had the escargot for an appetizer. Just the right amount of chewiness with a delectable sauce. Then she got the braised rib sandwich I believe? And I got the poulet limone. Both of us were very happy with our entrees, as well as our wine (both Bordeaux, I got white and she got red). Then we had creme brulee for dessert, which has the best consistency I have ever had for this dish. We had it with an espresso each, which was the perfect way to round out our meal.

Great food, great service! Jennifer was amazing and didn’t miss a beat. I would drink the mussel broth as a soup every day if I could. We had the walleye and steak frites. Delicious! We’ll be back.

I really enjoyed brunch here! Really great variety of options on the brunch menu from classic omelettes with a variety of add on options to Lemon Curd Blueberry pancakes- which were so tasty! They were very sweet but paired well with the savory dishes my friends ordered. I’d recommend sharing entrees with a friend so you can try a little bit of everything! The server was great and had no problem splitting our checks; great cup of coffee! My friends enjoyed the $16 bottomless mimosas they said. I will be back for brunch or dinner for sure, especially for food and ambiance.

I had the pleasure of lunching at Cafe Touché in Edison Park, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that set the stage for an enjoyable meal.

The menu at Cafe Touché is a delightful blend of classic and contemporary French cuisine, and it caters to a variety of tastes. The dishes are expertly crafted with attention to detail, and the presentation is simply stunning. Whether you’re a fan of seafood, meat, or vegetarian options, there is something to satisfy every palate.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to try their walleye plate . The fish was great tasting and the red wine sauce infused it with a rich and robust flavor that was absolutely divine. The portion sizes were generous.

The service at Cafe Touché deserves special mention. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had. The attention to detail and the personalized service truly enhanced the overall dining experience.

The atmosphere in the cafe is cozy and inviting, with tasteful decor and comfortable seating. It’s a perfect place for a romantic date night or a gathering with friends and family. The dim lighting and soft music create a relaxed and intimate ambiance, making you feel right at home.

To top it all off, the beverage selection at Cafe Touché is impressive. They offer an extensive wine list with a variety of options to pair perfectly with your meal. We will go back for dinner next time !

A delightful experience at this French restaurant! The decor is stunning, transporting you to the past with its charming ambiance. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The baguette was incredibly good, and the salad was amazing, generously drizzled with olive oil. The Poulet Forestière was a hit, with perfectly cooked chicken breast and a delicious sauce of mushrooms, herbs, and Madeira wine. However, the Poulet Citron was a bit too acidic for our taste, but both dishes were beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a charming and tasty meal!
