Café Sophie is a European style café with a Scandinavian influence in the Montgomery County Airpark main terminal building. Sandy and Tom, founders are foodies. Tom is from Bergen, Norway, which is the reason for the European style food. We provide indoor and outdoor air-side dining serving breakfast, lunch, and grab ‘n go sandwiches. The cafe received a complete makeover in the spring and summer of 2021, providing a comfy European vibe. The cafe is named after the owner’s sweet golden doodle. Sophie loves to greet everyone!

Went for a special father’s day brunch. Amazing! Mimosas are half off and we ordered the ligonberry flavored which was refreshing. Everything we ordered was flavored well with the drink. We will definitely come back again. They have a patio outside if you want to see the planes land and take off as you eat

This was such a lovely accidental find. The place was so cool and located in a small little airport. The food was fabulous. I got the egg Benedict and it was superb. The coffee was okay. Definitely would go back there again!

Adorable and unique cafe in an airplane park. Staff was kind and courteous, the view interesting and clientele also amazing and friendly. The cuisine was wonderful and the ingredients real. Shared the pancakes with the berries and a veggie omlet with crispy potatoes. The lavender latte was delicious, I ended up making it iced and it was still yummy.

Updated 2/11/23: Changed review from 5 star to 3 stars because of lack of consistency with the food. (Picture below in Sept. 2022- food was amazing….Today – NOT SO MUCH!) Today ordered scrambled eggs with provolone cheese (for my 12 month old son), potatoes, the Scandinavian pancakes, toast, a fried egg, and beans.

What’s not to love about great food and service in a renovated space overlooking a small plane airport? Great breakfasts, but finally back for lunch. Happy with nicely prepared shrimp angel hair pasta dish special, but make sure that you don’t have a large or heavy breakfast if you want to go for the Kjottkaker Norwegian Meatballs, which are based on the owners grandmother’s recipe. With potatoes, gravy, and a lingonberry sauce and a mushy peas sauce, it’s as substantial as it is delicious. Looking forward to trying other specialties and specials.

My family loves coming here. This is the only place my very picky 2nd grader eats everything on her plate and my husband and I love everything we have ever ordered. Sophie the dog is an absolute sweetheart and we were so happy to meet her our most recent time. The kids love watching the airplanes too!
