Word on the golf course is this place is fantastic. We made reservations and this is the first time we have made reservations in awhile where we actually needed them. It was packed, and what an atmosphere! We have not been to the original, and do not go out for Italian often. Cafe Scalessa is apparently known for their gnocchi which was not really my thing, but now it is. How can you not love tiny pillows of fluffy potato heaven. We started with vodka sprite and the coconut blood orange margarita, and 4 Cheese Gnocchi, their version of mac and cheese. Wow, so creamy and cheesy! Of course we needed the pepperoni garlic bread, and our dinner came with house salads. He ordered the Veal Parm and I had the Chilean Sea Bass which just melted in my mouth. The portions were so large we took more than half home which we then ate for 2 more days. We had to save room for the Coconut Buttercake which was rich and buttery, the perfect ending. Our server Edwin was wonderful and a pleasure. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I met a few friends here for dinner last night & we sat at the bar. The Veal Parm was the best i’ve ever had. Ida was awesome, attentive & cool to chat with. The wedding soup was excellent, to sum this up you’d be a moron to not eat here.

The first thing you notice when you walk into Cafe Scallesa is how loud it is, it’s hard to even hear yourself talk if you go during prime dinner time. The food reviews for the table were positive for the most part but definitely stay away from the soups and the seafood lasagna. As you can tell from the photo, the seafood lasagna is practically just cheese and a TON of it. Overall I gave Cafe Scallesa a 3 star rating as they give you a lot of food for your money and the chicken scallesa/cheesesteaks are excellent but the atmosphere and some of their selections lower their overall rating. Side note they also need to upgrade their seating as the chairs are wooden and uncomfortable

Walked in to a completely booked restaurant on valentine’s day and the owner got us seated at the bar instead of just turning us away. The food was great and the over all vibe was fitting. Based on this experience I would highly recommend it for a some what old school Italian feel with a new age atmosphere.

Just stopped for lunch and had great quick service. The place was clean. Had a decent crowd for lunch! Cheesesteak was great quality, chopped ribeye w cooper sharp… a little more meat w a bigger chopped onion would make this a contender. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a party of 6 which last min someone was sick taking us to 5. We had ordered drinks and getting ready for dinner order. A man came quickly to table talking fast saying we need to move you to that 5 table over there. Your group is not 6 anymore and you need to move over there to that five top table. We were quickly whisked in the middle of our conversation celebrating a friend’s birthday. We had a lovely waitress and all five of us had a very good tasting meal. We decided not to have dessert and just received our checks. A lady with brown short blunt cut hair came over interrupted us again and pointed to the table saying we need this table as soon as possible we have a party of five that needs it. Twice we were interrupted in quick manner to leave the table the waitress had not gathered the checks at that point. Very rude behaviors of both persons the man and the woman shuffling us then asking us to leave. Our reservation was at 5 pm we were seated at 5pm at 520 pm we moved to the other table and at 635we were asked to leave asap. If we had chosen dessert we would have been there another 20-30 min so what would they have done at that point. The food was very good, the floor runner manager people were very rude!- which will make us choose nearby restaurants next time.

This is a treasure. A group of cousins who happen to know a little about Italian food (our heritage) visited this place today. Excellent and delicious Italian cuisine and the atmosphere was lovely especially if you like the Rat Pack.

Great lunch date! Loved the decor. Our server Jill was very knowledgeable of the menu and couldn’t be nicer. The meatball app was huge and delicious. All the food came out perfect! The spaghetti and meatballs, the mussels on a skillet, the eggplant parm and the shrimp n pasta were all amazing. Tried desert even though there wasn’t much room left in us. All around great dining experience and can’t wait to go back

Me and my wife Donna went there one day on a whim, we went inside and were greeted right away, the person, whom I found out was Donnie, the owner found a table for us even though he said the place would be packed in about an hour. He got us a table and the server, Sue, whom we now request when we go there was very informative and nice, she let us know everything about the menu and took very good care of us. I had the seafood pescatore and it was delicious!!
We’ve since been back a few times and even had our Valentines Day dinner there, the chicken parm was outta this world delicious!! My birthday is March 29th and I already let my wife know I want my dinner there!! Highly recommend Cafe Scalessa if you like Italian food. Thank you for the great dinning experience!!
