First time coming here. I took my family and best friend for her birthday dinner. The authenticity of the food was on point. Everything was delicious and I have finally found a restaurant that makes white pizza the correct way with fontina cheese. Portions were decently sized for the price. Service was great! Our waiter was very attentive to everyone’s needs, even my 6 yesr old. We can’t wait to come back and try different entrees. One of our new favorite spots.

NOPE! Folks, Cafe Roma Ristorante replaced “Tony’s” on March 2, 2023 “AND” is a true hidden gem right here on this corner off Pennsylvania Avenue.
As society will do by its own failures, judging a book by its cover, folks if you continue to pass by this “GEM” of a restaurant based on merely its outside let me be one of the patrons who is bold enough to share with you just what a mistake you are making passing this restaurant by.
As aforementioned, we were searching for authentic pizza and well, if I had to compare it to searching for fine jewelry this is how best to describe it … a simple search for an amethyst brought us to a cave filled with diamonds!!
We walked inside expecting to view a menu of merely pizza and wings which to our surprise was more than four pages of fresh pasta dishes, and more than that. It also included fresh seafood as well with baby octopus, calamari, scallops, crab, lobster, shrimp and so much more.
The dessert menu was even more delightful as well. Let me just add, did we order pizza? Of course, that was our take out order!! We first had to try the seafood platter pasta and the chicken parmigiana which simply sounded scrumptious and too enticing to pass up!!
Since that visit, we have ordered the pizza twice from Door Dash along with the lasagna! If you really want authentic italian food that is even as delicious cold as it is hot, this is the your place! Cafe Roma has become our favorite local ristorante!

Absolutely beautiful place. Truly authentic, delicious, Italian dishes. Great service. Our server was phenomenal. We went on a snowy January day for lunch, so it wasn’t busy and our server and owner were very kind and extremely attentive. Our server was fairly new, but he was the best! We will definitely be back! ♡♡♡

Amazing new Italian restaurant. Calamari appetizer was outstanding. Veal Piccata cooked to perfection. Desserts of Tiramisu and Limoncello Flute were absolutely divine. The service was top notch and so friendly. Vast menu, you won’t be disappointed.

I can not brag enough about Café Roma! I come here atleast once a week and am always more than pleased! Luigi the owner is vary knowledgeable in his dishes as well as being incredibly hospitable to each of his guests from what I’ve experienced and seen.
Alex who i always ask for and highly recommend is someone who will make you feel as close to being in your own home as you can. Always smiling, and it’d like he knows what you want before you ask!! The rest of the staff are amazing as well!! This is just for the service.
As for the food. I cant possibly describe what you have to see and taste for yourself. I can guarentee you will love each dish. The pastas l, sauces and dishes are Freshly made each day in house. Authentic is almost an understatement! 50 out of 10 recommend! And if you think of it being just another “Tonys” boy are you missing out and mistaken!

I made a reservation for the two of us since it was Valentine’s Day and we were looking forward to trying your restaurant for the first time. We were seated in the back room but didn’t think it would be an issue. We ordered two simple chicken entrées, yet it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The portions were small, and my chicken marsala was extremely oily and difficult to enjoy.
What impacted our evening the most, however, was the noise level. The back room was so extremely loud and crowded that my husband and I had to raise our voices just to have a conversation across the table. It completely took away from what should have been a special night.
After it became clear that we were not ordering alcohol, our server checked on us very minimally. We then waited another 45 minutes just to receive a dessert menu, which is completely unacceptable and we decided to get dessert elsewhere. If the server was overwhelmed, assistance should have been requested rather than leaving tables unattended.
Overall, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for Valentine’s Day. We had hoped for a much more enjoyable evening

I would have given them six stars, but there’s only five. This place is amazing. I had the veal parmesan with some of the most incredible flavors that I’ve had in a long time. This meal was obviously cooked with care, and the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. I’m sure I’ll be coming back.

I was not impressed. The wait staff was great, but the food (Lazagna) did not taste right. It did not taste like ground beef. More like venison. I sent mine back. They asked if they could get me another entre’, but I declined. I was full of bread by then. Bread was good. I cannot recommend.

First of all I’ve never felt so welcomed. With a large party of 15…they seated us together in a side room so we were able to talk and enjoy each other. Fresh hot bread .. Italian Wedding Soup… appetizers and great liquor selection with a full bar. The menu had so many great dishes it was hard to decide. I choose Shrimp Scampi and it was made beyond compare. I could taste the white wine in the sauce. Garlic was not overwhelming and big tasty shrimp. I choose Limoncello cake…Everyone ordered different and not one person was disappointed. We were treated by the servers and I be the owner…they went out of their way. Please support this business….
