Had to give this place a try after seeing it on TikTok! Everything we ordered was truly flavorful and comforting that our plates were CLEAN after! I definitely will be coming back and bringing friends so that they can have a wonderful experience trying Uyghur cuisine!
Pictured below is the tandoor somsa (very filling and juicy inside), beef jarovnya, and lamb soup! 5/5

Arzu is such an amazing hidden gem! I originally stumbled upon Arzu through a TikTok video highlighting the stone oven. I went on a Monday during lunch and there was plenty of seating. The staff were extremely kind and polite and helped us pick out food from the menu as it was our first time here! We ended up having the Uyghur Laghman and Somsas. The hand pulled noodles were absolutely delicious and some of the best noodles I have had in the suburbs. The meat was tender and I loved the fresh vegetables and large pieces of garlic. I highly recommend Arzu if you’re looking for a restaurant that has both amazing service and delicious food. I can’t wait to take my family and friends here.

This used to be one of my favorite places, but I’m really disappointed today. I was fasting and looking forward to breaking my fast with something good, but the food quality was not the same as before.
The manta was very greasy, the dough felt overcooked and overly thick, and the meat inside didn’t taste fresh. It honestly ruined the experience for me.
I hope this was just an off day, because this place used to be much better. Please improve the quality and consistency.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Arzu, where I thoroughly enjoyed the lagman, lamb soup, and samsa. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Please keep up the exceptional work – your dedication to serving delicious food is evident in every dish.

Came here because it was open late, had great reviews and didnt seem all too unhealthy.
Clean, minimalist, cozy and calming inside. Good service once we were tended to. Food is delicious and worth a try. Had the Lahgman noodles and Osh Uyghyr which reminded me of a uniquely delightful pot roast over pilaf. Try one of the teas – we had the fruit and it was great. Drank tea from a small bowl instead of mug which was unique. Plates about $17-21/ea, tea was $10 and served 2. Definitley will come again.

Absolutely amazing Uyghur Laghman
This place surprised me in the best way — the noodles were perfectly chewy and clearly hand-pulled, the beef tender and flavorful, and the vegetables fresh and full of color. The sauce had that perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and slightly smoky — it wraps around every bite of noodle beautifully.
You can tell everything’s cooked with care and tradition — not rushed, not overly oily, just pure comfort and flavor. If you’re craving something hearty, authentic, and satisfying, this Laghman is a must-try. Easily one of the best I’ve had in Chicago!

Great experience at Arzu. I went with my friend for dinner and had the samsa (appetizer), palov, lamb kebab, and honey cake (dessert) and everything was excellent. Great tasting food with fresh ingredients. Service was also very good from
Ayaana and Tanusulu and we met the owner and spoke to him at length too – he was great to talk to and very personable and humble. It’s a clean and inviting space. All the best and keep up the great work.

I had a manty(dumpling) and uygur laghman noodles. Everything was good! Noodles portion is good enough for two and it was chewy and delicious. Will have to try the lunch special next time.

First time here, We came from Texas for a week, We ordered Manti with a whole bread for the appetizer, Manti was so juicy and hot, especially with a red sauce it has gone quite deliciously, We had beef kebabs with side dishes for the main dish, beef was cooked well done and marinated perfectly, , Our waitress Ayana was polite and attentive, she gave us a great service.
I hope we’ll definitely come back
I highly recommend 10/10
