Cafe Roma is such a hidden gem on St.John! Italian doesn’t seem like a cuisine you’d eat on your beach vacation, but we visited Cafe Roma twice during our stay! The restaurant is super small, but the atmosphere is awesome! The owners are so personable and really make you feel like family. Every dish we got was amazing and packed with flavor. Given that everything on the island is pricey, we felt like the portions were more than fair. My favorite dish was the Penne ala Santos. Super creamy and delicious. The meatballs were so tender. My fiancé loved the tiramisu and I loved the cannolis! Definitely wishing I could go back here for Sunday dinner.

Opened 18 months ago and in my opinion this restaurant will quickly become a local and tourist favorite! Food was legit Italian. Owners are from Boston and Italian. Everything is made in house! And what can’t be made in house is imported from Italy! Wine list is fabulous and contains a list that changes! Nate owned the restaurant with his wife, Meghan, and the two of them make you feel like family from the minute you walk in!
Restaurant is small and when we arrived it was full. But we got a table within 15 minutes! We ordered the Cesar salad, chicken parm , shrimp pesto pasta and the sausage and vodka sauce with creamy ricotta! Every dish was amazing. Meatballs were wonderful! Tiramisu is also made in house and the owner takes great pride in how he makes this classic dessert. Watch the board because they make a tray daily and it sells out it’s gone. We pre-ordered ours!! We loved our night here so much, we are considering another meal here before we head home! That good! Thanks Nate for a great dining experience!
We loved our experience here so much that we chose to eat out last dinner on island here! Again, another wonderful meal. We loved Ian! Friendly and helpful! We saw some new friends we met at High Tide and recommended this restaurant to them. They came too and loved it as well! I had the Alfredo this time and was very impressed! Lots of flavor and very creamy! We can’t wait to come back!

Burrata was amazing and we had a pizza with eggplant and mushrooms delicious. Dessert was awesome also. Service was great. My wife and I will be back next year for sure. The new owners cleaned up the restaurant and food as well as service are AMAZING.

Pizza feh. $3.11 just because its takeout? Who does that? $3.11 for mushrooms…and not many. Cranky bartender feigning interest. Yeah, it was great a decade ago. Now, not so much. Not crowded. Never a good sign, my father used to say. Live and learn.

First time experience Cafe Roma. I don’t think they had enough help for a Saturday night in St John’s. Waiter told us please don’t order a pizza because there backed up making them. Chicken parm entree very good $37. Lasagna good $38. Buratta salad . They do not take reservations. We called ahead to see how busy it was ( good idea )

Excellent service by Tyler ! Relaxing air conditioned restaurant. No parking as with most places in Cruz Bay. Lasagna had nice flavor and portion size was plentiful. Cannoli shells nice and crisp as they are filled to order !!

A second visit after a few years..
Started with nice Caesar and House salads then entrees of Penne ala Vodka & Cafe Roma’s Famous Lasagna, with an added meatball protein. The Penne was delicious. I’ll skip the dry, dense crispy meatballs next visit.

Finally back on island and had a chance to have dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised. Had the stuffed shells with meatball and the meatball was juicy, light and meaty. The shells were very stuffed, the caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing we like. A great experience and we’ll be back.

Very solid, homemade pasta. Simple, plain environment. Friendly staff. The tables fill pretty quickly after 5PM. Seating for around 30 people? Small, spartan bar. Maybe 15 wine offerings?

When I found out the owners were from Boston (a little south of Boston ) I knew I had to go there and I wasn’t let down. The food and service was tremendous and the atmosphere was very down home North End to me. I highly recommend Cafe Roma!!

Wow, we had an idea to get carry out pizza from Cafe Roma to the beach. They were so accommodating, and the pizza was GREAT! It smelled so good in the car that we started eating as soon as we were at the picnic table and I just have pictures of one slice left (that was eaten right after!) Super pizza and great people at the restaurant!!
