The kitchen isn’t the cleanest, and the chicken tastes burnt sometimes. 3/5.
I snapped this photo last night – y’all need to learn to cook your chicken better.

Review for Café Rio Fresh Modern Mexican
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently visited Café Rio Fresh Modern Mexican, and I have to say, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious! It’s a bit of an adjustment if you’re used to processed foods, but the freshness is definitely worth it.
If it’s your first time visiting, they’ll sing you a song, which is super fun!
Amber was absolutely amazing and gave me the option of the song. I mean, how often do you get a song with your chicken salad? So, of course, I went for it!
They have fire-grilled chicken and a Pollo asada chicken (along with other options of meat as well). I asked Amber about the difference in taste, and she offered me tasting cups for both. I decided to go half-and-half, and it was the perfect choice. Just make sure to speak up initially if there’s anything you don’t want on your order.
Amber was welcoming and made my first visit pretty memorable. I’m definitely looking forward to returning with family and friends. Highly recommend giving Café Rio a try!
Music is good.
Food is good.
Serving is PLENTY. Comparison towarda Chipotle, you pay 10$ for a bowl here you’ll think it’s Thanksgiving.
Their sauce could use some work honestly.
I went on a rainy day so I think the workers all just wanted to go home lol.
Service is… well… okay I guess, there wasn’t anything bad, they were all chill.
Great place for takeouts.
I wish it were only this location that we have had poor experiences at, but the one in Eastvale was awful as well. Employees all looked like they hated their jobs and when you were in line they would avoid eye contact so they didn’t have to help you until they were ready. That location closed already. Sad because the food is delicious.
And the last visit they did not include the drinks that we paid $7 for! Then, an employee comes over stating that everyone has to wait for tortillas to be made while I’m staring at my order ready on the shelf. So, I had to yell to get his attention to ask, “Isn’t that a ready order?” And then he handed it to me. Seriously?
We only show up when they have deep promos because they can’t seem to get the order right and the service is abysmal. And there were very few customers there dining but no one in line. There was no excuse for the carelessness or lack of service. Period.
Where are the standards?
