RAW CHICKEN !!! I can’t even believe this happened to me! This is beyond unacceptable. This is just careless . My husband had to go back to the location and requested information from all the employees to file a report with the manager since they were not able to reach one and they were quick to put the blame on an employee that according to them already left. They started freaking out because he (employee) then stated that they gave out the rest of that batch and they started saying how many more people would be upset !! As they should so I’m probably not the only victim to this . I’m freaking out and praying to god that I will be ok but seriously someone needs to make the grill guy or girl accountable! CAFE RIO PLEASE SEE THAT THIS IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY!!!

We enjoy eating at Cafe Rio, our favorite menu item is the Shredded Chicken Salad with all the works, lime and creamy tomatillo dressing. MMM MMM. So tasty. We’ll be back again and again, we usually carry out. Sometimes my husband and I split the salad, but if we bring our appetite, we’ll get individual salads. 🙂
Kaitlin prepared our order perfectly – every detail on point. The grilled tortilla with melted cheese at the base was warm, slightly crisp, and full of flavor – the perfect foundation for layers of cilantro-lime rice, black beans, shredded chicken, and fresh romaine.
Topped with pico de gallo, cilantro, green onions, cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime, every bite burst with freshness. The creamy tomatillo ranch dressing tied it all together – tangy, smooth, and perfectly balanced.
It was so good we went back three days in arov!

I arrived at the location on lake mead at 9:39pm. They had locked the door already. The location was supposed to closed at 10pm. They were cleaning the restaurant. I had to wait while they grabbed stuff from the back and made my order, it was supposed to be done by 9:30 pm! No one told me what was going on while I stood there. One the employee that let me in did n talk to me. She stood at the register checking out. Not one word to me!! Then a young man came to me and asked if I wanted a free drink while I wait. I didn’t want a free drink. He then informed me that they were out of sour cream and he said he was giving me extra
Guacamole, I didn’t get extra Guacamole. He asked the gentleman preparing our order if he had everything. He said yes. I took the order home. Everything was wrapped so I could see what was on the order. When I got home, there was no extra guacamole, the
Quesadilla, did not have the vegetables that we ordered, the tacos did not have the cheese we ordered. They were more worried about closing early than getting my order correct!!!! Do not eat here at all!!!

Paid $14 for this quesadilla. Took it to go and this is what I was surprised with. Waste of time to go back and get the problem resolved but definitely will never go back

Gave me old leftover chicken in my salad. The worker saw me come in and left the counter so I had to wait for someone else to take my order. The guy kept asking me what I wanted on my salad and I kept telling him everything, like he didn’t know what comes on the salads. I had to ask for the tortilla strips that goes on the salad and he didn’t put any limes in there. I paid for a large cup and I had to grab my own cup because he walked away without giving it to me.
The chicken was so hard and dry I can’t even eat it. The extra sauce I paid for spilled all in the bag because they didn’t put the cap on right. Highly disappointed because the meal wasn’t cheap and I can’t eat it.

The staff here is very friendly, Michelle the manager is amazing the only downside is that I couldn’t give her and her staff 10 stars. Very efficient service and my order was accurate perfect presentation . Give Michelle a Raise it would be worth every penny!!

This was the worst experience I have had. The order was missing several items and the ones we received were wrong. The grilled chicken had more bones and joints than meat. When we tried to call to inform the store of our food quality, we were channelled through a call center and put on hold for 20 minutes until we gave up trying, which seemed to be their method of dealing with problems.
Do Not bother ordering from this Cafe Rio, as it is sure to disappoint. What a sad state of affairs. If I could give a minus review number, I would.

I had a great experience with my family at Cafe Rio a few sundays back after church. Daveon was really helpful towards me with all my requests and I just wanted to appreciate him for helping me as I helped my family. We love the food, like a lot. Salads are bomb, hand made tortillas are amazing, Niño quesadillas with buttered Tortillas affordable and a hit with my son, and the steak is awesome. So much good here. I just really hope Cafe Rio in general stops burning their chicken breast cause it would be my go to meat if it weren’t sometimes or often too charry.

This location is busy and the parking is difficult, but the customer service was Top Tier!
The woman working the cash register (around 4pm today) was very friendly and personable. I typically prefer Chipotle over Cafe Rio due to taste preference. But i would highly recommend this location!

It never fails, you can count on them screwing up your order. Even in their attempt to make it right, they got it all wrong. The horchata tastes terrible. The cooks don’t understand how cross contamination works, while cutting cooked chicken with the same knife they used to cut the raw chicken. They don’t know how to properly cut/serve cilantro. This location, including management is incompetent.
UPDATE: went to Cafe Rio tonight as a last minute decision, on top of being filthy with trash everywhere, they have an employee sitting at a workspace, eating and playing on their phone. Avoid this location. It’s absolutely disgusting.
