If I could give 0 stars to this store, I would. The staff in this store are completely unprofessional. I placed a large order for pickup. Nothing was labeled, didn’t know what was what. An item was missing and some of the items that I ordered on the side were not included. I called customer service, who reached out to the manager and was told my entire order would be remade, that their label machine is broken and they were trying their best to write on items and apologize that my items were not labeled. I was appreciative of that. After my call with customer service ended, a staff member called my phone to basically argue with me that she had made my order and it was correct. I told her I wasn’t going to argue with her, that per customer service and the manager, my entire order is being remade. She got snarky and said, “I’ll make it when you get here!” with an attitude. I called customer service back and the representative is trying to figure out why she even called my phone…the staff keep answering the phone and hanging up on the representative. Clearly this location and it’s staff are not being managed properly and need a lesson or two in professionalism and quality customer service.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE‼️
We placed our order at 8:08 PM and didn’t get our food until 8:39 PM. Unfortunately, this is nothing new for this location.
Every time we come here, it’s always something. Tonight we placed a mobile order for three entrées, waited 20 minutes, then drove over to pick it up. We pulled into the drive‑thru and were immediately told to “hold.” We waited… and waited… and waited. A different employee finally got on the speaker, talking so quietly we could barely hear her. We told her we were picking up an order for Michelle. She paused, said “uhhhh” like she couldn’t find it, then told us it would be another 5–10 minutes and that we needed to leave the drive‑thru and come back later because apparently us waiting there “messes up their timer.”
Meanwhile, cars behind us were getting their orders with no issue. Walk‑ins were ordering and getting their food right away. And here we were, over 30 minutes later, still with nothing — even though our order was placed in advance.
This is the third time this has happened with mobile orders at this location. At this point, we’re completely done with Café Rio. The service is consistently disorganized, slow, and dismissive. We shouldn’t have to chase down our food every single visit.

This location is very terrible. Staff is unhappy. Not welcoming at all. I ordered a meal and a drink. While drinking the mint limeade a big piece of plastic was in my mouth. I called corporate and complained. This isn’t my first time having an issue with this location but this was the last straw. Im done with the disgusting service.

The food was good. The ingredients were fresh. The guacamole was excellent. I had ordered some nachos and they were really good. I had also ordered a beef burrito it was absolutely exquisite to the palate palate. The shredded beef was tender and juicy and very flavorful

I do not have complaints on the staff. The ladies are friendly and nice when entering the establishment. The food quality on the other hand can be improved. I ordered two tacos of barbacoa. The tortillas was thin and falling apart. The barbacoa lacked flavor compared to other locations I’ve had it from. I walked out disappointed with my meal.

My family of 8 went to Cafe Rio for dinner last Sunday around 7 PM. One of us has a gluten allergy, so we asked the young Latino employee wearing reading glasses if he could change his plastic gloves. He agreed, but then he said, “Who goes to a Mexican restaurant when you’re allergic to gluten?” I explained that we’ve been eating at Chipotle and Cafe Rio for years without any issues, as long as the gloves are changed. I told him, “Thank you, but we won’t be coming back then. We’ll eat at Chipotle instead.” He did a disservice to both Cafe Rio and himself by telling customers to dine there. We spent almost $100, and it will be our last visit. Next time, we’ll choose Chipotle. Thank you

6 Oct 2022 update.
The store was clean and the employees were very friendly. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The food was fresh and very flavorful. There is handicapped parking right in front of the store but the door is not automatic. The only negative thing and it is minor is they have two entry doors. One of the doors (the door in the outside eating area) is locked but there is no sign telling you to use the other door. Several people tried using that door including me.

They ran out of things and can’t seem to get them replenished. Shredded lettuce was out and nobody was bringing more. The horchata was out our entire stay and they kept saying they are making it. Not impeessed.

This particular Cafe Rio has real servers that you can go through the line and talk to, discuss what you want and that’s what I really like. The food was great. Atmosphere was good. Seating was plentiful

Asked for no Pico in them and it had it. Tortilla is hard. Never had the cilantro inside of the soup. Just a complete mess. Is this food from two days ago? Come on.

Lazy employees who don’t mind having you wait longer and still mess your order up. Definitely picking a different establishment since every visit remains the same with little to no improvement. What’s the point of running a store if no one can do basic customer service?
0 stars and I’d recommend you find a different place to eat.
