Ordered through Uber eats. Not sure who to be disappointed at but both were disappointing over all… Unfortunately my quality of food order not to satisfaction for the price I spent .. Uber eats did switched drivers at the last minute for delivery after my food notifications said being prepared and then picked up and heading my way and that was a quick maybe 15 minutes after my order. Then New driver did take longer, maybe 10 minutes longer but the food was still disappointing.. Kids Taco plate order very bad… Rice beans and grilled chix taco extremely dried .. Taco was just a big flattened flapped over old greasy tortilla cheese crisp style with slices already cut in it on the ends like it was supposed to be for something else.. Maybe they cut the ends for the kids to eat it better but probably better not to because that doesn’t make it a taco.. taco had little grilled chicken stuck to tons of melted cheese… The rest of it just big extra
useless tortilla . My grandson tried it and did not like it.. And he loves tacos, Mexican food, chicken beans and rice.. The 2 tortilla soups were good by themselves but they didn’t have any juices that make it a soup .. The tortilla strips were very stale, the foiled wrap tortillas were already ripped kinda apart so you really couldn’t eat the thick soup like a burrito using those instead of it being a soup .. Soup Tasty and good flavor so we just ended up heating up in a pan, crumbling tostino chips, sour cream, lettuce etc and made it more like nachos …Ended up ordering pizza for my grandson, The kid taco chix plate wasn’t what the picture was at all. It was unfortunately disgusting… The soup wasn’t pictured perfect either but at least TG the thick chicken somewhat soup was still usable for a different meal! .. Just be careful when ordering.. Pictures are only pictures

Did an online order and food looked horrible. Looks sloppy and not appatizing at all, empty and missing Lettuce. No pride in serving this food. Very pricey for empty salad. Don’t order at night poor quality.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food options include salads, burritos, and bowls. This visit, I had a chicken salad. It had a warmed flour tortilla on the bottom, rice , beans, cheese, shredded chicken, and lots of veggies. The dressing was served on the side.

I usually pick up in person and the people are always very nice and helpful. I ordered for pick up for the first time and I never considered it would be a huge difference. Now that I look at the pick up and delivery reviews I would say I see why they are consistent.
Pick up/delivery is not the way to go at this location. Try to go in and order your food. Idk why there is such a swing and a miss with to go orders vs in person ordering.
Overall I like cafe rio, the food, and the staff. Definitely a tough experience on the pick up order, very unappetizing and low quality meal.

I have always loved this place at multiple locations in Arizona I love the food. I am a little worried about the direction. Rising prices of course which are everywhere. But they removed enchiladas and habanero sauce from the menu. I notice also the revised branding ditches the green colorful fresh food theme for colors more common in other Mexican restaurants. Bad decisions in my view. I liked the old menu. Bring back the strong fresh theme, enchiladas and habanero sauce too.

I used to be impressed with this place but lately they’re out of a lot of food. The staff is great so I just think it may be related to policy on how much food they make. I still love their salads.

We have been coming here since before covid and we have watched the slow decline of this restaurant, this location in particular. There is one lady who works the beginning of the food line, she is here almost every weekday and everytime we come in. Her additudehas gotten progressively worse…its to the point now whe she truly acts like you are an utter inconvenience to her and if you ask for literally ANYTHING she makes sure you know you are irritating her.
Maybe she shouldn’t be working with the public.
The sweet pork used to be sweet it wasn’t spicy. Now it is so spicy I can’t really eat here anymore. Which means its not a place the rest of the family is going to come to.
The nachos were already expensive for chips cheese and meat and now if you add guacamole its extra, sour cream is extra. The nickel and diming is so frustrating.
I won’t be surprised if this place goes out of business as I have watched it really go downhill in the last few years…..and no one seems to care.

My family and I love the food so we continue to come back but the training is seriously lacking. Everyone has been extremely nice, however there’s a lack of uniformity and they “pick and choose” their policies. Sometimes the toppings will be inside the burrito, other times on the side (ignoring requests). Then today I asked for pico on the side for one burrito and they proceeded to add to all of them without me asking. I told them I only needed it on one, and they replied with that’s always included. But I’ve been here multiple times and that was a first. The last straw was my burrito I asked for beef barbacoa and that’s all they put. Again it is not entirely the employees fault they have all been nice but they don’t seem knowledgeable and I think there is a lack of proper/uniform training that is hurting the business.

We ordered polo Saadi salad and kids meal with chicken quesadilla. Server was asking me if I want Rice. Does not provide enough lettuce. Dressing in drops. Meat at the bottom of salad. Come in that’s nonsense. Employees loitering around and service is very poor in this chipotle rip off. Salad for 13:69 is quite expensive.
