Food was really good. My obly complaint was how long the wait getting the food was. I totally understand food not being ready immediately or even if it takes 10 minutes but there was only 3 people in front of us and it took about or slightly more than 20 minutes just to get through the line. Again, I appreciate the food that was given and the workers who made it, it was delicious but maybe you need more hands on deck with the serving of the food for people dining in. There seemed to be more than enough people for the drive thru.

I don’t know how you can possibly come back from this. This was on my first bite! IN MY MOUTH! How does this happen?!?! We bought 6 meals and not one person could finish their meal and the audible gags coming from our kitchen will steer us away from cafe rio! Absolutely disgusting!!!!!! Not only that we had our order pickup for 8:40 and it wasn’t even prepared till nearly 9:00.

Ordered online for 6:10 pm pickup. Waited over 45 minutes only to get home and have order be incorrect. I should have checked before leaving but after waiting that long I needed to get home. Very poor service. Unfriendly staff when asking to check on order. I would suggest stopping online orders if you can’t keep up then open again when you can meet the “promised” pickup time. I understand it’s never going to be exact and waiting a few minutes is fine but today was unacceptable for a large franchise.

Plain gross. Only two bites of meat, hardly any rice or beans. Mostly water + romaine. Same inconsistency and lowered quality as the location on Harrison. Please do not reply with a concerned response or offered promo.

This might possibly be the world’s slowest cafe Rio. Placed my pickup order 30 mins before arriving and I have been waiting in the restaurant for 40 minutes. There’s been a lady in line for as long as I’ve been here. The restaurant is not busy — plenty of open tables for seating. Everyone behind the counter is moving slow slow slow slow. Not sure what’s going on here but I’d avoid this Cafe Rio, especially on a Saturday night!
Update: got home, opened my salad. Wrong meat, wrong beans, unmelted cheese, no guac, no lime, no pico… how is this location run so poorly?

The 4 ladies that work upfront are always super mean when I come from the hours 11am-12pm They always add cheese on my boyfriends burrito after we told them NO CHEESE we try to clarify with them and they say got it and THEY ALWAYS END UP ADDING CHEESE we have to tell them that we asked for no cheese 5 times and then once they add the cheese and we tell them again that we asked for no cheese they have the most sour face ever because they have to remake it and when they do they add way less portions and this isn’t the first time this is my third time going in this time I finally decided to go order online so they wouldn’t mess up my order again. They still ended up adding cheese. and when I showed them my order confirmation on the app saying that the burrito had no cheese they kind of tried to fight me on it saying that it didn’t show it on there end and didn’t want to remake it at first but once they did they did the same things. They always do add way less portions in the first time. I do not recommend coming here and cafe rio you need to hire more friendly staff

This place has gone downhill, I used to love eating here but something has changed. The food doesn’t taste fresh & they have really started to skimp on the meat, like very small portions. Who wants a giant bowl of lettuce? My house dressing tasted like pure mayonnaise and I couldn’t even finish the salad. Left there disappointed and not wanting to return.

I don’t know why I return to Cafe Rio, particularly the Riverdale location. The food quality is just not there anymore and it’s always inconsistent. Online ordering process is a mess – you will always wait 10-15 extra minutes beyond your promised pickup time, and this will occur when the regular line has 0 customers. Just save yourself and for better quality and online orders that will be served on time, and go to Costa Vida across the street.

I’ve been to a lot of Cafe Rio’s in several states….I wasn’t gonna review as it’s a common spot…..HOWEVER….I have to say that this location is awesome. The food was prepared Really well.. seasoned perfect and put together. Staff Is also quick and friendly…the restaurant is also clean . Thank you

Pickup scheduled 20 minutes earlier for 2p. Nobody is preparing the 6 onscreen to-go orders. There is not anyone in line and a line for pickup. Their sense of urgency is non existent. I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes for the lobby and they’ve prepared two orders in the last 15 minutes. Why have takeout at this pace?
