No need to come here again. Plenty of other options at Jordan Landing. Employees are so depressed and unpleasant, speaking barely above a whisper and you find yourself asking “What?” constantly. They give the same 1.5 Tbs of guac no matter what you order, scraping the container side several times so as not to serve a spec more. They charge $1.79 for every additional 1.5 Tbs. Want chips and queso? You get a cup of queso that’s half full. The serving area was ridiculously messy. Can’t blame being too busy, because only 2 other customers were there.

I was ignored multiple times by employees while trying to pick up my order that was already sitting there getting cold. No acknowledgment, no urgency, nothing. I even special-ordered an item on the side for nachos because I had a bit of a drive and didn’t want it soggy and they still put everything on it anyway. By the time we got home, the food was a mess. On top of that, the food made us feel sick afterward. Overall, terrible service, careless handling of special requests, and a really disappointing experience. Won’t be back. UPDATE. went back because they gave me credit. Another terrible experience just like the last. Got guacamole and they had lettuce and sour cream and tons of pico I put a photo below to see, completely inedible

I have it’s been coming to caffe rio for years now. Only recently have I noticed what issues in their service. On 01/23/26 i made a small order of just 4 items, a 4oz queso, 4oz dressing, and a pork quesadilla. I placed my order at 6:54PM and it said it would be done by 7:05PM. I knew that it was a friday night and that it would most likely be busy. So I didn’t leave to get my order until the time it said it would be ready. I arrived at 7:10 ish and my order was still not done. I understand if it takes a couple extra minutes to finish, But my order wasn’t done until after 8pm. It took them around an hour to make my 4 items. I sat in the restaurant and waited for 50 for my food and wasn’t offered anything for waiting. Ive worked in restaurants before and that service time alone would have never been accepted. I got to my car to look at the order and my food was cold, my queso was not full, it was cold and crusted on the top layer and there was hardly any meat or cheese inside the quesidia. I figured they might have just been having a bad night, and so I didn’t complain. However, I just came from the restaurant again. There was one girl on the line who did the quesadillas I ordered and she did amazing. But then I get to the second part where my chips and queso was and I asked if they could fill the queso more because it wasn’t full and with a sparky reply and an eye roll she replied with “thats all i can give you”. If i would have come here a couple years ago and asked for them to fill it more, they would have done it without complaining or being rude. Then I go to check out with the same girl and asked if I could please get 2 large drinks and she grabbed them but made it seem like its a bad thing that I asked her get two cups for me. I then said I was planning on doing the 2 for 20 deal and she rolled her eyes and rudely said “well do you havw a code?” I said yes in quickly pulled it up. With how rude she was to me I almost asked if she hates her job because it seems like it. Im disappointed in how downhill the service here has gone and it disappoints me that. What was once one of my favorite places to eat has become a place I hardly go to due to the service (or lack there of)If I could post photos i would show the lack of quality.

Typically Cafe Rio is one of our favorite places, but my experience tonight was very disappointing. I ordered takeout and it showed that it would be ready by 6:20 p.m. My sister ordered 2 minutes after me and was told her order would be ready at 6:30. When I arrived there were quite a few people already waiting for pickup. They only had two people working pick up and both seemed very very slow and didn’t seem to really know what they were doing. My order was not ready till 643pm. And my sister’s order was not ready until 7:05. By then my food was getting cold. Additionally, the food seemed poorly made for what I usually expect from Cafe Rio and we’re missing a lot of the toppings that were ordered. The burritos had the wrong toppings on the wrong burritos. Also, there were kids drinks with one of the orders and I was given a carrier since there were three of them. However, the side of the carrier hits exactly where the lids attach to the children’s cups. So it ended up knocking the lid off of one of the drinks and spilled orange soda all over my skirt. There did not seem to be a manager or anyone in charge. More than 20 people were able to get through the regular line and leave before I got either of my orders. It didn’t make sense to me that they wouldn’t have pulled one of the people doing the line orders to help with the takeout or take some of the takeout orders to be prepared on the line. If you ordered in the store, you could get your order in under 20 minutes. If you ordered online it took an hour and 15 minutes and the wait was getting longer as they fell farther behind. They should at least be a way for them to change the available time when they know they are that far behind. Even if they had told the people that had takeout orders to go get in the regular line. It is incredibly frustrating to know I could have just walked in and had my food four times as fast.

I ordered online told me to pick up at 8:30 i waited for 30 minutes while there was no line half the staff are just standing around you try to talk to someone about ur order they barely acknowledged my existence complete joke horrible service and horrible responses.. this place needs new management at night because there clueless on top of the absolutely disgusting lobby and there was trash everywhere there was no joke 4 plus people standing around doing nothing while it looked like 2 people were doing everything complete joke and i wont be coming back to this trash location for awhile

I had placed an online order for just a thing of soup at 3 to be picked up at 4, when my boyfriend got there they had him wait 15 minutes while they completed other orders. Normally that’s not a big deal, but when I place an online order to be picked up an hour later and it’s just a cup of soup? That should be ready to go at the time of pick up. They also half assed the soup, there was hardly any chicken or anything inside, it was mainly broth and tortilla strips. Definitely not the best service, and for it to take extra time just to be given barely any food is ridiculous. Poor service and food quality.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews… but this was necessary. I LOVE Cafe Rio. But this location has specifically let me down multiple times, especially with online orders. This location is definitely under staffed and it results in very long wait times for online pickup (minimum of 15 minutes after your assigned pickup time – I once waited almost 30-40 minutes). Today I used the online $20 two meal deal, and my salad did not come with the guacamole I ordered, I ordered double meat and I got less than half of the NORMAL serving of meat and it was overcooked and many pieces were even very charred, and I did not order shredded chips and my salad came with shredded chips throughout. The guacamole we got with chips was old and browning and tasted very funky. I am very disappointed in our meal tonight. I will no longer be coming to this location to get my Cafe Rio fix, as this was the final straw for me (I’ve given this location at LEAST 3 chances to prove me wrong, and each time I’ve been very disappointed).

Ordered online and showed up on time. Was told it would be about five more minutes, which I was okay with. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. When I asked they realize my order hadn’t been started. They seemed irritated and slapped my two orders together and it was a mess. My tacos looked like a salad. I wouldn’t recommend.

Although this place gets busy and people can’t wait the whole 5 minutes to get through the line they always have a packed out house in the evenings and on the weekends, have cheaper deals and coupons than Chipotle and get serviced as fast as their attentive staff can accommodate. Being from out of town this place is a basic win win for anyone wanting the same experience of tex-mex, on the go, line service with OUNCES of more flavor, including, literally, everyone’s favorite: cilantro lime ranch, AND they have homemade style tortillas. PERFECTION.

Never going to this location again. At least if they have a meal deal going on. Order was supposed to be ready at 6pm… didn’t get our food until 6:50 and they ran out of queso. The place was packed. I felt bad for the employees I’m sure were very overwhelmed. One even pulled out her phone and took a pic of the sheer amount of orders they had. It was not ran well at all. Never again
